I had never stayed in a pension before, so I was worried that something would go wrong, but I felt at ease as it was a very nice accommodation.The owner and his wife are very kind people, and after the meal we talked and interacted with the dog 🐶, which made me feel warm.I had originally booked a breakfast-only plan thinking I would like to have dinner at a local restaurant, but there are surprisingly few places in the area where you can eat Hakuba-style food (for some reason, there are a lot of restaurants that sell pizza). ), I looked at the pension's official website and the dinner looked delicious, so I decided to change to a one night stay with half board.Even though I was the only guest that day, each and every dish was served with great care.The ingredients used are from Hakuba, and everything is very delicious and satisfying.Even the small vegetables that came with it were carefully seasoned with different flavors and were amazing!I overslept and was about 30 minutes late for breakfast, but breakfast was prepared as usual. As a big eater like myself, I was very grateful that they even provided refills of bread.The inside of the building felt old, but it was very well kept, and I was surprised at how shiny the sinks and other water areas were!There were also patchwork miscellaneous goods and quilts displayed here and there, which were so cute...🥺The other things they have are all cute.I think it will probably appeal to people like me who like retro things.If I had to point out a negative point, the B1 floor where the bathroom was located felt moldy like a gymnasium, but is that about it? It didn't bother me much as the cleaning was thorough.It was my first time in Hakuba and my first pension, but thanks to the two owners, it was a very enjoyable trip!If I ever visit Hakuba again, I would definitely like to use it again.

It is well-maintained and clean, and you can feel the owner couple's attention to detail.The owner and his wife are very friendly, and for those of us who don't live in the countryside, it's a place where we can relax and feel like we've come back to the countryside.The food was also delicious.
