I visited on a weekday Friday in early October. The outside temperature at night was a rather cold 15-16℃. The pension has a stylish exterior and interior. After checking in, I relaxed while drinking beer on the terrace, and enjoyed the chill time while listening to the rustling of the trees and watching the sun go down. The room had indirect lighting, beautiful interior, and even a refrigerator, so although it was small, it was a relaxing space. There were two baths, healing music was playing quietly, and I was able to warm my body while looking at the delicious greenery. The open-air bath is adjusted to the perfect angle for resting your back, so be sure to give it a try! Meals are served in course format. It's a luxury to be able to enjoy both fish and meat at this price! The facilities are solid, the interior is stylish, and the food is delicious. The baths are open 24 hours a day, and they are particular about relaxation, making this a pension you'll want to use regularly!

We arrived at the pension we would be staying at today at 4pm, relaxed in our room, and then moved to the dinner venue. We sat down at a stylish table and quenched our thirst with draft beer, and were served appetizers first.I'll get it right away.・DinnerSmoked Shinshu salmon and corn flan, cold peach soup,Oven-roasted rockfish from Hakuba, soy sauce beans and chanmello sauce, rice,Roasted Hakuba Alps pork and summer vegetable sauce, matcha chiffon cake,It will be a Western-style dinner consisting of coconut mousse, pear sorbet, and coffee. The smoked Shinshu salmon is aromatic and the corn flan is rich and delicious!Cold peach soup is a delicious soup with a strong peach sweetness and a consommé aftertaste.Oven-roasted rock fish with soy sauce beans and chanmelo sauce has a bitter taste from the butterbur that goes well with the rock fish. The roasted Alpine pork and summer vegetable sauce is delicious because the pork is thick and has concentrated flavor! The chiffon cake is soft and the coconut mousse and pear sorbet have just the right amount of sweetness.・Breakfast mealBeetroot soup, omelet and sausage plate, toast, vegetable salad,A colorful breakfast of yogurt, orange juice, and coffee. The beautiful pink beetroot soup is sweet, smooth and delicious. The omelet and sausage are soft, seasoned well, and the sausage has a nice salty taste.Eating a soft omelet on aromatic toast will double the flavor! The salad was a delicious morning meal with just the right amount of acidity and a refreshing dressing.Thank you for the meal. The elaborate and stylish dinner and breakfast made with local ingredients were delicious!I was able to soothe my mind and body with the carefully selected dishes and chloride hot springs.

The hot springs and food were great! There are two hot springs available for private use, an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and both were wonderful! Is the reservation for 3 or 40 minutes? There is a frame for eachWrite your name in the empty space on a first-come, first-served basis. You can make another reservation after you get out of the bath. That was the system.I went there about 3 times to relieve the fatigue from climbing ☺️The meals were set in courses and all were delicious!I was happy that I could get a second helping of bread for breakfast ☺️I would love to hear from you again!

We loved our stay at Pension Tomato. The host was really kind and picked us up from the train station in Hakuba. Along with this, when dropping us off after our stay, he stopped at the Yamato centre so we could send ski bags to the next accomodation, a huge help.We stayed in the 6 bunk lodge, fantastic. The amenities were very, very clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent. Spacious enough, with a nice area to relax in and kitchen bench to make easy meals. We also utilised the in-house onsens - a great choice as they were incredibly relaxing and peaceful after a ski, really clean and nice tranquil forest views. There are multiple, bookable for mixed or non-mixed onsens. The breakfast which you book the day before is great too.A few minutes walk from the main echoland strip and rental place for ski/snow gear. That’s where shuttles for Happo-One and Hakuba 47 stop too, so convenient to get to the mountains in the morning. We would go back in a heartbeat, thank you to the Pension Tomato team! Highly recommend!
