Just back in Adelaide after our fourth 2 week stay in Hakuba at Kamishiro Mountain Lodge. Awesome as always. Skiing excellent and with 10 areas all less than 30 minutes away huge range of choice. Atmosphere in the Lodge very friendly and relaxed and sensational breakfast sets you up for a solid day skiing. Lots of excellent places to eat within walking distance. Lots to see and do if taking a day off skiing including, snow monkeys, NaganoTemple, Matsumoso Castle, Olympic ski jump and the coast at Itoigawa. Already planning next year's trip.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Kamishiro Lodge in Hakuba exceeded all expectations! The owner's unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. Their consistent generosity with rides and personalized schedule planning made my stay exceptional. Being picked up and dropped off at the ski equipment rental on the first day was incredibly convenient.Close by from the skii resort can walk or can waiting for free shuttle to skii resort next door.The owner also took the extra step to book tours and share recommendations for fantastic places. The genuine friendliness and outstanding hospitality make this lodge a gem in Hakuba.I can't speak highly enough about the wonderful experience I had!

The perfect introduction to Hakuba! Stayed with our two teenage sons. Cannot thank our hosts enough for all their help before and during our stay (even great tips for Tokyo beforehand). Seamless pick up and a beautiful stay. Reservations for local restaurants and all the help and tips we needed. Hakuba is a minefield of options but we got very lucky to pick this gem for our first trip. Like staying with good friends. Thanks to Tracey and John all the team. Miss you all (and those amazing breakfasts!! already)We will back xx

Had a great 10 day stay at Kamishiro. Tracy and John are fantastic, both as people and hosts. They were super helpful at all stages of our trip, assisting with restaurant bookings, organising day trips and transport to other ski areas nearby. Tracy even made us a home cooked meal one night. The lounge bar is warm and welcoming and there’s plenty of options (even wine). Beds are proper queen size. Breakfasts are great too. Easy shuttle bus to goryu/imori/Hakuba 47. They even turned on the powder for us!

This is the starting point of my life. It was their second year open, and the owners and their husbands were full of motivation. From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., he was busy doing maintenance work in a part-time room in the attic on the third floor, which was constantly occupied.
