I first chose to stay at Santana as it had the best reviews at an affordable price and it is very easy to see why! We have never been disappointed staying there, have returned numerous times. At Santana you have fantastic hosts, it's warm and clean, and a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast is something I looked forward to every morning, and when you stay there you get the access to all the lodge discounts (ski hire and lift tickets), not to mention the local knowledge from Albert and Fumi who are always happy to help. Fumi still makes the best gyoza ever! The only bad thing about Santana B&B is having to leave. Big thanks to Albert for driving us with all our gear to the bus stop, again. Really look forward to our next visit.

Was yelled at when we arrived at 12pm to drop our bags got a 3pm check in and then we where racially targeted and told we where not allowed to stay then threatened to call the police if we didn’t leave after we paid for the place

Absolutely the worst hospitality i’ve received. On arrival was racially targeted and told to not be surprised if i was kicked out by the night. By far the rudest person i’ve ever met in my life. Highly do not recommend

Beautifull authentic cottage in Hakuba. Really warm living room for gathering around the fire place. Rooms are well equipped and very clean. Continental breakfast is great! Really nice couple running this place. Definately recommend
this place if you want to stay in Hakuba and only 5 minutes walk to the ski area

Great place to stay in Hakuba at any time of year. Close to the ski lifts in the winter and has many trials around for cycling or hiking in the summer. Very cozy and clean. Breakfast is great with fresh fruits and vegetables from the owners' farm-house. The hosts are very welcoming and always happy to show you around.

It was clean, the living room that came up when I searched for it was very comfortable and warm, just like the photo, I was satisfied with the breakfast, the host was very kind, and considering the price, I was very satisfied. It was.The only bad thing was that the toilet seat was cold. . But that's really it.I want to try various facilities.If I had to decide, I would choose this place again.

The reviews and website are all in English, but even Japanese people can stay here. A Japanese person (probably your wife) can help you.This is a Western-style B&B, so if you go there expecting a Japanese-style B&B, you may feel the reception is cold. Personally, I like it when people don't interact with me more than necessary.The booking description states that Goryu is 300m away, but it took us 6 minutes to get there with two adults empty-handed. It takes about 15 minutes if you carry the board and take your child with you in the morning. It's surprisingly far away.There is a bath tub in the shared bath, but there is no stopper, so you can only use the shower. I was also quite shocked that the toilet seat was cold and there was no shower. Are Japanese people the only ones who demand such facilities?When I took out dinner, they kindly allowed me to use the living room and microwave, but the microwave was broken (?) and wouldn't heat up lol.Overall, it's perfectly comfortable except for the cold toilet on the second floor and the lack of a bathtub. Communication via booking chat was also smooth.
