I have been reluctant to write this review as I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt to the staff running the hotel, however, after reading Marko's review I thought I would share my concerns about my stay. …

We woke up to having a half naked member of the staff being in our room going through our things. He seemed drunk but official explanation was that he was sleepwalking. Go and figure... …

Managed to get a last minute booking for a 2 day ski trip from Tokyo. The (dorm) room was pretty basic but big and I had it to myself which was a bonus. …

Older style place run by Grant and family with assistance of lovely laid back staff-guests. It’s not the ritz, but it’s fun and charming.

My husband and I had lunch here after skiing all morning at Happo One. I had the fried oyster meal set and he had the ramen. Two thumbs up from us! My oysters were fried to perfection! Reasonably priced too! He loved the ramen.  …

Grant and the staff are always so welcoming. They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfy and easy as can be. Lots of help to organise ski rental and classes etc. Super friendly, like a home away from home. Highly recommend and our next trip we will stay here again.

5/5 from us. Grant/staff made our holiday(thank you again). Value for money-the rooms are big by Japanese standards, as are the ensuites(which aren't as common as you think). Great location, amazing private onsen next door, hot breakfast, snow board set up, drove us to the supermarket/restaurants, which it doesn't get much better than that. Reassuring to know that your needs are covered at all times (even if you hurt yourself day one), they care enough to get you to the Physio and back on the slopes! Solid Gold
