This time, I stayed in a Japanese-style room for one night, and overall I was very satisfied with my stay. The location of this inn is very attractive, close to Kumano Kodo, and it was a truly relaxing time to spend time in an environment surrounded by nature. The open-air bath, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of each season, was especially wonderful, and the fact that it was open from 5 a.m. to midnight was also very convenient. The unique charm of this ryokan is that you can take a bath in the clear air in the early morning, or relax in the quiet hours of the evening. The quality of the hot spring water was also very good, making my skin smooth and refreshing both physically and mentally. Recently, I hear that the number of inbound tourists visiting for the purpose of digging into hot springs is increasing, and I feel that its appeal is becoming even more widespread.I stayed in a Japanese-style room, and the scent of tatami mats and Japanese-style interior created a Japanese atmosphere, and I was able to spend a very relaxing time there. The futon was soft and I was able to have a comfortable sleep. In terms of facilities, the inn is very well-equipped, with a spacious large public bath and a mixed open-air bath, which is highly praised for being fun for families and couples to enjoy together. In addition, there is a large parking lot, and you can also use the parking lot of Kawayu Kinokuni, which is currently closed, so it is very convenient for customers visiting by car. It is easily accessible by car, and I felt that it was an ideal location, especially as a base for sightseeing on the Kumano Kodo. Furthermore, the shuttle bus provided by the inn to Kumano Kodo is very convenient for those who do not have a car, and thanks to this service, tourists who come by public transportation can also visit Kumano Kodo comfortably. is completed.Another attractive feature of this inn is the excellent service of the front staff. We have Chinese, Japanese, and Burmese staff, and in addition to being fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese, they are also extremely friendly and helpful. When you check in, not only will you be greeted with a smile, but they will also carefully explain the necessary information, making you feel at ease. Furthermore, they kindly provided recommendations for nearby sightseeing spots and how to use the facilities within the hotel, making the start of our trip a wonderful one.It is also convenient that the front desk is on the second floor and there is a shop selling souvenirs on the same floor. Since there is no convenience store nearby, this shop was very useful for quick shopping and souvenir purchases. It was also very convenient and helpful in that I could get everything I needed right away at the inn.As for meal times, breakfast was served from 7am to 9am in a non-reserved seating arrangement, which was convenient as I could enjoy my meal at any time I wanted. You can choose to have dinner at 6:00, 7:00, or 7:30, so it was nice to be able to adjust the meal time to suit my schedule. However, there were some situations where I was a little in trouble because lunch was not provided. There are only two restaurants nearby, so you'll need to plan in advance where you'll have lunch. Also, there wasn't much explanation about the local cuisine during dinner, so I would have liked to know more about its background and specialties. The food itself was very delicious, but I think I would have enjoyed the meal even more if I had a deeper understanding of the local food culture.Additionally, there were many families visiting the area, and I felt it was a great place, especially for people who enjoy swimming in the river. However, at breakfast time, the seats by the window filled up quickly, so I was a little disappointed that I couldn't enjoy my meal while enjoying the view. There wasn't much information in Chinese in the room, and I think I would have had a more comfortable stay if more detailed information had been provided about how to use the facilities in the hotel and tourist information in the surrounding area.Another thing that bothered me was the aging of the facilities at the inn. The person at the front desk told me that this inn has a history of over 60 years, but the exterior and interior feel a little old. There were some parts that looked a little worn out, which I thought was a bit disappointing.Overall, Sansuikan Kawayu Midoriya is a wonderful ryokan where you can spend some luxurious time in nature, especially for those who want to enjoy hot springs and nature. However, if the facilities are aging and the food is improved, I think they will be able to attract even more repeat customers. It was a wonderful inn that makes me want to visit again next time.
