Japanese style rooms. Warning: if you are over 5'10" you will be constantly hitting your head. Incredible level of service from the front desk. Onsen is great with indoor single sex and outdoor mixed baths. All supplies provided. Lovely stream running past, all rooms have a view. Good central location for taking buses to walk the Kumanu Kodo. Good buffet breakfast unless you are a vegetarian. Juice, rolls, yogurt, fruit, and Coco crispies are your veggie options.

It's about an hour away from my house, and I've used it many times for day trips and stayed overnight there once. As usual, I visited to refresh myself in the hot springs, but on that day there were several foreign groups checking in at the front desk, and they waited in the back until they finished. It was empty, so I asked the female staff member if I could use it for a day trip. When she asked the older male staff member (who was standing nearby, not serving customers), he gestured "x" and replied without making a sound. I did.The male staff member did not say a word to me while I was waiting, even though he was nearby. If you can't use it, you should just tell me right away, but why won't you answer unless I tell you? The response was terrible and I felt sick. There's nothing particularly nice about it other than the open-air view, and I don't think I'll be coming back in the future after this incident.I'll try not to recommend it to anyone.

I now think I shouldn't have chosen it for my important wedding anniversary trip.First of all, although it is part of the Urashima group, I feel that it is different if you are looking for quality like Hotel Urashima. There are no convenience stores nearby, but the shops close at 9pm and the vending machines don't work, so I can't even buy alcohol. When I tried to get ice, I was told that it would close at 9pm, so there wasn't enough advance notice. And the rude behavior of the elderly man at the front desk is most unpleasant. Since I came to the front desk for business, I thought it would be okay if I said something to you if you noticed. Even if they see you, they don't even talk to you until you sit down and talk to them, and it's quite rude to stay seated while they're dealing with you.Three kaiseki dishes for dinner? It also feels like an izakaya. The hot pot with only 2 pieces of meat is a shame because it's cheap meat that you can't chew. The cleaning of the room was not thorough, and there was a lot of dust on the walls of the Japanese-style room and the toilet.Well, there won't be a second time.

It's an extra 4,000 yen for the location, and an extra 3,000 yen for the hot springs by the river. There will be no second visit for the following reasons. The food is a buffet so you can't expect much from the taste. The staff were running around while they were eating, perhaps because they were understaffed.A staff member pours down a half-drunk beer while he goes to get the food. I'm not saying I'm done drinking.Perhaps your priority is to get the restaurant running quickly?80% of the customers were foreigners. I think foreigners will be satisfied with the experience of Japan. On the other hand, Japanese people who like ryokans may have some doubts.Even if you don't go to the riverside hot springs, there is Kamiyu Onsen nearby, which will give you a sense of freedom and negative ions.I think it's worth staying if you want to take a hot spring in this location.

The open-air bath is the best!Put on your bathing clothes, take a bath in the open-air bath, and once you've warmed up, dive into the river, and soak in the hot spring at night while looking at the starry sky.I've been to many places all over Japan, and there are still some wonderful places. At the dinner buffet, you can enjoy charcoal-grilled, salt-grilled wild sweetfish caught in the river in front of you, as well as ochazuke.Although some of the facilities have deteriorated over time, the tatami rooms were clean and comfortable. This inn is close to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, about 5 minutes by car, and is convenient for walking around the Kumano Kodo.

At Kawayu Onsen Hejing Hotel, the rooms are located on the stone beach of Hejing. The hot spring springs gush out from the stone beach. The open-air bath is on this stone beach. The indoor hot spring also faces the river, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The indoor hot spring is Go to the open-air hot spring and provide yukata for easy mixed bathing by the river. After soaking in the open-air hot springs, people also go to the river to play in the water. Dinner is a semi-buffet with beef sukiyaki and sashimi. Others are self-service. The unique grilled dried fish, tofu, etc. are quite satisfactory.

My family and I also love Midoriya. I would like to go again.Good points:✨I never expected to be able to eat such delicious and diverse food in the mountains (advance reservations were required for dinner and it was a buffet)✨The staff was very kind and helpful. He always greeted me with a smile 😊✨Room service: We also have Japanese-style rooms, and there is also a futon service.✨The outdoor hot springs are especially great. There is a Haagen-Dazs vending machine in the rest area outside the public bath 😆✨The products at the souvenir shop in the hotel are interesting and good.✨I didn't expect it to have a karaoke room and shuttle service.✨Although it's a small point, what was really impressive was that during our two-night stay, they prepared new types of dinner and sweets in the room, keeping it fresh.Anyway, it was a very nice two nights.🤏Nice to have:I have sensitive skin, so it would be nice if there were labels on the ingredients of facial cleansers and body soaps in the hotel.

A place to stay for as long as needed, the Onsen with the river next to it makes connecting with nature inevitable. The exquisite food, the very beautiful and well-equipped rooms. Nothing bad to say about the people who served us. To repeat!
