Honestly, this pension is superb and is an ideal stopover before the Kumano Kodo path! The hosts are super friendly and the Japanese rooms are very pleasant! A haven of peace and very good value for money.

It's quite difficult to make a same-day reservation for a solo traveler, but I was able to accommodate them comfortably. The nearby Chosei-no-Yu that I was introduced to was also the best hot spring. The coffee and cake at the cafe were also excellent.

The landlord is very welcoming and the Japanese-style room is beautiful. However, I found ants on the floor, but it did not affect my sleep.

I stayed there in March.It's a very beautiful guest house.I couldn't resist the feeling of happiness lying on the tatami mat with the window open during the day.I really enjoyed chatting with the owner couple.I want to come again.

A fantastic little guest house in a fantastic little town. Set back from the "hustle and bustle" of the town's busy streets, this guest house is a perfect location to end a busy day and have a relaxing morning.The owners are extremely welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. If you don't speak Japanese, don't worry, they were able to help in English as well.We found this place by accident, but now I could not imagine staying anywhere else in Shirahama. We could not have been happier with our stay, and would absolutely stay here again without a second thought.

I used the cafe.It seems that they are renovating an old house and running it as a private lodging and cafe.The stylish and wonderful owner couple's sense of style shines through in the store, which is a space that is loved by everyone, combining the retro style of the Showa era and the modernity of the Reiwa era.The owner couple and employees were also kind and relaxing.The parking lot was relatively large and easy to park.Both the cake and pudding were delicious.I think the prices were pretty average: 450 yen for cake, 400 yen for pudding, and 400 yen for coffee.It's a little far from the sightseeing spots in Shirahama and may be a little hard to find for first-time visitors, but it's a store you should visit at least once when you visit Shirahama.

I stayed here for one night around August last year. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, but the couple who run this inn were really nice and we had a great time.This is a recommended guesthouse where you can feel the care in the rooms and common areas.At that time, some of the guests were canoeing, so I am planning to stay again next month to try some marine sports myself.

Thank you for your help in late September.Although I came to Shirahama without any plans, I was able to spend two very fulfilling days thanks to the delicious dinner, lunch, and kind information about sightseeing spots.Also, as everyone has mentioned, the room was clean and comfortable!We hope to visit you again next time you go swimming at the beach.

Honestly, I never been to that good guest house before. Owners are warmly welcome us and also give us advices to travel in Wakayama. The room is Tradition Japan's style that you can comfortable to stay. Of course, the room also neat and clean.🍊Recommended for people visiting Wakayama. The owner of the house is very cute. I really like Thailand. know that we are Thai It invites you to have a big conversation. The room is clean, suitable for people who like Japanese-style houses.

The cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of the couple were wonderful.We were also shown around dinner, breakfast, and a hot spring ♨️, where we were able to enjoy local ingredients at a low price and heal our fatigue 😊

The owner and his wife are very kind people. They told us a lot about Shirahama in advance, worked with us to plan our trip, provided transportation, and shared some delicious food with us. The people were really kind and I felt very warm.The renovated old private house was very clean and comfortable, with a feel of good old Japanese tradition. The location was close to the center of Shirahama, so it was easy to use as a base.On the last day, I was looking for postcards and couldn't find them, so I asked around, and they made phone calls all over the place, drove around looking for them with me, and even printed out photos of the sunset on Engetsu Island. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to respond.I think I was able to enjoy the best of Shirahama to my heart's content on this trip. And I could feel the warmth of the people. I was able to have the best Shirahama trip by staying at Guest House Sangenya. I'm really thankful to you.

Literally the best Guesthouse I have ever been to! The owners are very kind and they help you so much with everything! The location is also very central and the rooms are clean!
