This is a pilgrimage inn that has been around since the Taisho era, and it has been renovated, so the inside of the inn has a historical feel, but it is also clean and very comfortable. The host was also polite and knowledgeable, and in addition to providing great service, he also told us about various things, including the history of Shikoku. When I returned home, I was given a ride to a nearby station. It was a wonderful accommodation that I would definitely recommend when visiting Kagawa.

On March 17th, after a steep pilgrimage to the 84th temple, Yajimaji, in the rain, we stayed at the 220-year-old (sometimes referred to as 150 years) Goyogi-kan, located 1.2km from the 85th temple, Hachijima. After receiving directions from a local person, I arrived at the accommodation via the Oheun Road and received a friendly reception from the president and the chairman (father). The inn was remodeled and very clean, and was conveniently set up with a refrigerator, freezer, and dining table for guests. This inn only accepts breakfast, so I bought food at a supermarket 2km before arriving at the inn, but there were famous udon restaurants and lodgings nearby that were selling ramen and beer at low prices.I have many fond memories of chatting with President Gokyo, who loves Shin Ramyun and Korean kimchi, while drinking bomb liquor with dinner. Two weeks of rest in a soft bed roomI was able to sleep soundly. After breakfast, we were treated to delicious Americano and snacks. And as I came down after the pilgrimage along the Oyo Road, I was able to have a happy reunion with Mr. Gokyo, who was waiting in the parking lot of Hachiji Temple with the toiletries I had left behind.I hope that Goyeogi Restaurant, which has a long history and a friendly chairman and president, will prosper.

As a frequent traveler to Japan, if you want to share and experience a part of Japanese family life rather than a tourist destination, there is no better place to visit than this lobely stay. A son and his parents served guests together, and I was able to feel the hospitality, kindness, and goodwill of the Japanese people, which made me feel good throughout the trip. Also, it was a romantic and unforgettable experience to ride the electric bicycle lent by the ryokan through the alleys of Takamatsu countryside at sunset. Strongly recommend.

Staying at this ryokan is about more than just accommodation, it is a very special experience thanks to Shin and his family. You are hosted here and become part of the world of the Shikoku pilgrimage, even if you aren't on it yourself. The amenities are modern and comfortable, as the front annex was beautifully renovated by some of the last remaining carpenters of this architectural style. There's free coffee and tea at any time, a great selection of records, and a wonderful bath to look forward to in the evenings. The location is great and the building is beautiful, to add to that. They have many great products for sale including snacks, beverages, self care products, and more.I came for the purpose of visiting the Noguchi Museum but it would be a great spot for Naoshima and other art island visitors to stay. Electric bikes can be used to get anywhere quickly.Generosity is beyond the word, I feel very grateful for the chance to stay here in my life.

It has just been renovated and is beautiful. Women will be happy that the men's and women's baths are separate. The latest equipment in a historic building. I would love to stay again.
