I made a reservation for a Obon trip.Considering the traffic conditions and natural damage caused by the large typhoon, I had no choice but to call them directly to cancel, but they insisted that there was no typhoon information being broadcast here.Even though this was a bad call, he was very defiant and insisted on paying the full cancellation fee. When I checked a certain reservation site, it said that I could pay a 50% cancellation fee, but the staff didn't listen and insisted that the fact that a typhoon was coming was a lie.Even though I had taken time off to plan a trip during the Obon holidays, I was unable to go, and I was disappointed that the store staff treated me this way. As other people have written in their reviews, he is a stubborn father who is true to his word.Even if I could stay for free, I wouldn't want to stay there. Just remembering it makes me angry. If you are doing this kind of thing to other people, you are no longer qualified as a business owner, so you should shut down the business immediately to prevent other victims from becoming victims.

I made a reservation here during the year-end and New Year holidays. The room had an open-air bath, which I thought was amazing, but the open-air bath is near the entrance, and you take turns bathing at different times. After all, it is different from an inn.Check-in is at 3pm.I arrived at 3pm. The pension owner seemed to be preparing food in the kitchen, and although I said "Hello," he didn't seem to notice. I went up near the kitchen, told them my name, and was shown to a room on the second floor. It's a pension that feels a bit like a training camp. The room had a small unit bath with a sink and a bath, and since two people were sharing one room, there were two beds. It's like one table and two chairs. There was a space above the hanger where I could put things, so I put my stuff there. There was a TV, but no refrigerator. There were only one outlet available, so it would be a good idea to bring your own extension cord. There are no particular amenities. There was only band soap, conditioner shampoo, and bath towels. Please bring your own toothbrush set.Air conditioner works well. However, be careful because if you move the wings, it will hit you directly in the face just as you fall asleep.Dinner is at 6pm. My guess is that the menu is always the same.It was soup, salad, stewed beef, grilled plaice in foil, cake, and tea.Beer and wine are available for purchase, but the red wine was light. The good thing was the open-air bath. Get a key from the owner and lock it from the inside to prevent anyone else from entering. There is a space to change clothes and place your luggage. There was still band soap and conditioner shampoo, and there were two showers. If you don't use the shower carefully, the changing room will get wet.Since it was open air, I sometimes found insects, but it was very pleasant. When the stars were beautiful at night, there was an incident where I left the pension around 10pm, and although the owner had seen me leave, the door was locked from inside and I couldn't get in.There were four of us, and since I was late washing my face by myself, I received a call on my smartphone and was able to unlock the door and return.Dinner is served at 8 o'clock in the morning. If you don't leave your room, the owner will call you.Breakfast was prepared at the same table as last night. There was warm bread, a salad, a plain omelet, and two sausages on one plate.Butter, strawberry jam, and blueberry jam were available for the bread. For morning drinks, you can choose from coffee or tea.At this time, the bill was discussed and I was informed that check-out was at 10am, but that I could pay and leave as soon as I was ready. The owner may not be a bad person, but I don't think his flexibility will work. It's hard to say because tastes differ from person to person, but there is no doubt that it was a day that could be called a unique journey that will go down in history.

The hospitality of the owners (father and son) is excellent. The open-air bath is the best. Great food. I want to go again.

I stayed at this hotel because all the hotels were full and there was no place to stay. I don't know if the owner doesn't speak Japanese well, but it was scary because I couldn't understand what he was saying and couldn't get it across. We do not recommend coming only as a woman. Also, when I speak, my voice leaks. Recommended for those who want to stay just for a little sleep.

A place where the host's cooking and hospitality are warm and kind.As you drive around the lake, you will come across a pension village, one of them.To be honest, since I visited at night, there were almost no street lights, and I was in the darkness, which gave me a sense of instinctive fear. However, when we arrived, the lights were turned on and the owner came in through the front door. At that time, you will receive a simple explanation of the pension key, living room equipment, free drinks, etc.The interior opens from the entrance to the second floor, with a dining room that can seat about 10 people on the left, a clean toilet with a washlet on the right, and a staircase. This time we were staying with 4 people, so we rented 2 twin rooms, but the equipment was not new. However, the cleaning and beds are well-maintained, and the air conditioning works well. The small wooden chairs are perfect for chatting, and there is a small window in the center of the room that overlooks the forest at the back.Even with a large backpack, the room didn't fill up and was comfortable. You can also rent an open-air bath for free, and there is a large stone-paved bathtub next to the shower space for two. The lid is kept closed until just before bathing, so there are no insects floating around. It was a pleasant bath.Best of all, the breakfast the next morning was truly luxurious and delicious. You can feel the owner's dedication and hospitality. For the bread, we will toast the flavorful and fluffy bread from a local bakery, and bring only as much as you want from the kitchen. They also serve a soft, half-cooked omelet and two large sausages from a local shop. According to him, he doesn't buy this sausage by specifying the quantity, but by the gram. Anyway, I was left with a good impression of the host, who seemed happy to talk to me.And for dessert, they cut fresh pineapple. It must have been prepared for us. It was very juicy. The owner made me a cup of delicious tea or coffee every time I drank it during or after a meal, and I could really feel his personality. He kindly saw me off until the end, and said, ``Please come back to the foot of Mt. Fuji.'' If I have a chance, I would like to help you.It was about a year ago that I stayed there, and given the current times, it was a really warm experience, so I thought I'd post it in hopes of being of some help to my husband. Hope you're well.

Located in the Pension Village, a little far away from Kawaguchiko station but very quiet and laid back. It's OK to bicycle there if you're up to some exercise! The owner is very kind and he's keeping the place cozy and tidy. The rotenburo just outside the pension is great, you can get the keys and enjoy by yourself, partner or family. Rooms are a little small but clean. Beds and pillows were OK. Bring a mask for your eyes if you're sensitive to morning light as the curtains are very thin. Good homemade breakfast and decent coffee to get you started with your day around the lake.
