We only stayed for a short time, but if you're looking for a gorgeous traditional Japanese home to stay in - this is brilliant. Its near the train station, and therefore a short walk from transport, shopping and local restaurants. Just remember to follow the rules of the owner and look after the house! On clear days there's a fantastic view from the station itself- but I recommend Oishi Park for a lovely view and cafe.

I used it with my friends!It's a 5-minute walk from Lake Kawaguchi, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets within 5 minutes, and there are plenty of amenities such as shampoo and hair dryers!Towels and other items were provided by donation, but the room was kept clean and I was able to sleep on clean futons without the musty odor that is typical of private lodging.My only regrets were that the air conditioner was not working well and there were no screens, so I couldn't open the windows much.The toilets were equipped with the latest washlets.There are plenty of pots and cooking utensils for cooking rice (frying pan, clay pot, toaster, microwave, grater, etc.)*There is no wine opener, so it's a good idea to bring your own.
