This is my favorite guesthouse that I used several times during 2018-19.The accommodation space appears to be newly built and is clean everywhere. The bed space was spacious, and each room had its own shelf with a lock for storing valuables, which was nice.You can see Mt. Fuji directly from the living space, which is luxurious. You can have breakfast in the cafe space, which is an old folk house cafe style, and you can choose between Japanese food or waffles.The owner will take care of you every step of the way, and you will have a comfortable stay.

Location of the property is superb- less than minutes walk from Fujisan Station. The host is very accommodating and super helpful. I urge all of you to be considerate as the host running the property alone.The property is so clean and spotless. You also have a choice of Japanese or Western breakfast but please order by 9pm the night before.The mix dormitory befits the "Waking up to Fujisan view" and the common rooms are quite insta-worthy too.Really comfortable with the price you paying. Nothing to complain except for solo ladies traveler, it would be a bit quiet to walk alone after dark.Visited in 2019.

I loved the facilities. The bed was really comfortable. The view to Mount Fuji from the bed and the dining room was amazing.Incredible breakfast, really really good.Everything was really clean and cozy.Location is really good.The host seems a little bit cold, but it was a minor thing.Had a great time in there.Totally recommended.

We had a good time at Maisan-chi. Owner is super quite and nice. Rooms and the overall house were very clean. The bathrooms and showers are shared just watch out for that important point. We also really liked the Japanese breakfast. Tasty and a good way to start the day.

The location is great, just a 7-minute walk in front of Mount Fuji Station. The B&B is very clean and the breakfast is delicious.

Wow! A must stay if visiting Mount Fuji area/Fujiyoshida.Mai’s guesthouse is close to Mt. Fuji station (5mins walk downhill in a straight line) and is close to a number of great bars & restaurants (check out Yoshida!) with a 7/11 store also round the corner.The guesthouse is very clean and modern. The traditional beds on tatami mats are incredibly comfortable, we slept soundly every night and noise is kept to a minimum by all guests (you get given slippers to walk around in).The Chureito Pagoda was a lovely 30min walk away with plenty of opportunities to stop off en route to take scenic photos. We also hired bikes off Mai for 500 yen each and cycled to Lake Kawaguchi which was a great day out!Mai kindly provides breakfast to her guests with a choice of Japanese breakfast (salmon, miso soup, rice, salad) or Western breakfast (waffles)If you have the opportunity to stay at Mai’s guesthouse you will not be disappointed!

The guest house room is sparkling clean! Owner Mai brought its interior design to the next level as travelers can enjoy the stay with fabulous public spaces/washrooms and shower rooms! The communal area has an excellent view of Mt.Fuji and various amenities.The breakfast (free) is a must try and is served in a traditional cafe outside the guesthouse. The owner Mai makes fresh breakfast every morning for guests by hand. However make sure to reserve and order before 9pm the night before as owner needs to prepare.Strongly suggested for any and all travellers. We had an absolutely lovely experience!!

One of the better beds I have slept on in Japan. Very friendly host. If you pay by cash and check in before 21h, you get free breakfast (waffles or Japanse breakfast): very nice bonus! Good location: 10min walking from the train station, 30min walking from the Chureito Pagoda. Possible to cook your own food. Supermarket is not far (5 min walking). Would recommend if you stay at Fujisan. Would not stay for more than 2 nights, since there is not much to do besides Mt. Fuji, which is one bus away (around 45 min).
