Amano-san and her husband were very welcoming. They picked us up from the train station and dropped us off without any extra charge. The property was extremely clean and inviting. We used the onsen, and it was a relaxing experience which we recommend (you are allowed to use it privately for up to 30 minutes). The dinner and breakfast were delicious and added to the experience. The ryokan was located a 30-minute walk from Oshino Hakkai, a whimsical little town worth a pit stop. The room was cosy, and the futon beds were surprisingly comfortable. Our room had a view of Mount Fuji (we were just unfortunate with the foggy weather which blocked the mountain for part of our stay). All in all, this was one of the highlights of our trip! There wasn’t much we didn’t like. The location is a bit hard to access (but since they provide a free ride, this wasn’t really a problem). There was some wear and tear, but it didn’t really bother us or impact our stay.

20240928 - a great Japanese transitional hotel where you can enjoy the hot spring and Japanese meal (extra charge) with very reasonable prices. It’s old but very clear. Most importantly, their service is excellent. We five persons went there by road bikes and the staffs tried their best to fulfill our needs, for instance, parking our bikes indoors because of the rainy day, washing our cycling wear and so on. I feel that the owner is running the hotel with great passion and hospitality for every guest. It’s really a warm place where you can relax yourself and take rest.

Giữa rừng thật yên tĩnh, thấy núi Phú Sĩ từ cửa sổ phòng, thật tuyệt, ăn sáng thì nhờ chủ khách sạn chọn, giữa Nhật và buffet, mình đã có 1 bữa sáng ngon lành. Hẹn gặp lại nếu có dịp 2024/05/27.It's so quiet in the middle of the forest, I can see Mount Fuji from the room window, it's great, I ask the hotel owner to choose for breakfast, between Japanese and buffet, I had a delicious breakfast. See you again if there is a chance 2024/05/27.

Very nice place. The room was perfect, very convenient with great view of Fuji mountain. The owner speaks good English. They proposed to drive us to the location where we started our hike in the morning.////////////////////////////////

We had such an incredible view of Mt. Fuji from our room. The service is amazing—owners will go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. They even gave us transportation to and from the inn. The food they cooked was authentic and delicious. The indoor hot spring was a nice touch as well. Overall it is a great value you can’t beat. Highly recommend.

2023/10/20 Double happiness in one day, bumping into the bamboo hat cloud, staying in a good B&B!The two large windows of "Maple Room" directly face Mount Fuji. What greets you when you get up every day is Mount Fuji. The windows also have screens for ventilation. The other half can be pushed open without screens. If you want to jump to the B&B Chisho Garden outside, no one will stop you. 😜Since it is an old house with a strong Japanese style, if there is a tatami, you can still sleep on it. However, the old house naturally does not have an elevator. You can carry your luggage to the second floor by yourself. If you have a man with you, you don’t have to worry. If you don’t have a man with you, you can take care of it by yourself. Carry it!Although the house is old, each room is large enough, with a hair dryer, TV, single-door refrigerator, humidifier (this level can no longer be called a "device"), electric heater, sink, two nostalgic chairs and a coffee table. When you go out, you can directly open the refrigerator, take out the wine prepared by the host, and drink it, basking in the warm sunshine and looking at Mount Fuji. At this time, you should be glad that you are sitting on a bed and breakfast chair to appreciate the beauty of Mount Fuji, instead of sitting in a wheelchair and lamenting the sunset. By the way, the main light can also be controlled on/off, intensity, and timing with the remote control. The hardware equipment may not be the most powerful and advanced, but this B&B provides natural hot springs for free. After taking a bath in the bathhouse, you only need to move two meters to soak in the hot springs. During the off-season, there are almost exclusive private rooms for you to soak in. Become a hot spring egg!Since it is not in a busy area or near a popular tourist attraction, there is almost no noise at night. In addition, the combination of super strong quilts and tatami mats is so perfect. I usually only wake up after 5 to 6 hours of sleep, but I actually fell asleep on the first night. 9 hours, I haven’t treated sleep as enjoyment for a long time, this sleep seems to wake up the dreamer. If it were full 💯, I would give it 90 points! The short five points are that the distance position is a bit awkward, mainly on the uphill section! The other five points are because the breakfast and dinner prices on the boss's menu are still the old prices. I only discovered the price increase when I checked out!The owner is very warm and will arrange transportation to nearby areas for you!

The proprietress was warm and kind. She drove us to Oshino Hakkai and told us the recommended route back to Kyoto. The traditional Japanese-style rooms have a unique flavor, and some rooms can have a glimpse of Mount Fuji; you can also soak in hot springs, play table tennis, etc. in the hotel.Unfortunately, the transportation from Yamanakako to the hotel is inconvenient, and it takes about an hour by bus.
