I’m somehow extremely satisfied and somewhat disappointed at the same time.First, a bit of background. I never had access to winter sports, so I wanted to try snowboarding for the first time. I booked online, and indicated that I was a first timer from the drop-down on the registration page. As a first timer, I expected everything to be included for the price I was paying for a 2.5hr lesson. Everything from the booking screen onward, including the registration confirmation emails, didn’t mention anything about what to bring or expect.the good… pretty much everything after I got sorted at the activity center. The instructor was amazing, and super patient. Couldn’t be happier. The gear seemed well kept. I had a great half day on the beginner slopes. The bad… kind of everything on arrival. The lesson checkin desk had no clue what to do with a first timer, and since nothing during or after booking told me what to expect, I was shocked that I had to spend another 50% on top of my lesson price for rental gear, lift passes, and I actually had to buy goggles, which ended up being a helmet decoration, because as a first timer, I never actually hit speeds that justified putting the goggles over my eyes.Looking back at the “information” page on the website, most of this information is in the fine print, but again, this information was NOWHERE from the booking screen onward. Especially for a first timer, I just wanted a turnkey experience. I had to spend another US$150 after my instructor fee to make the day happen… and since I had already paid for my instructor, I had no choice. All of this should be much more clearly stated during and after booking, or even better yet, have a first timers package that includes everything needed to snowboard for the first time. As a complete noob, I had no clue what to do or expect, and I was shocked that my bill nearly doubled after I got to the activity center to make the day happen…
