I leave the review to tell you that yes, this place certainly exists and it is fantastic. The two hosts are two very sweet and super helpful elderly people, who speak English very well. The house is large, with two rooms on two floors. It has a small lounge and dining area, complete with a vending machine and free drinks. Upon our arrival we found Matcha biscuits, origami, bottles of natural water and a message wishing us a good rest.It is the only accommodation in the entire Japan trip where we found a real "Western" shower. The only flaw is that together with the toilets it is located in the garden, so you have to leave the house for a moment to reach them both. It's just a few steps, nothing tragic.Yukata and linen obviously included. The lady also made us find a typical sweet on the third day we were there. The WiFi worked quite well.Very convenient location for reaching the trains (Nijo station).Super recommended, the value for money is decidedly excellent and the kindness and helpfulness of the gentlemen were almost disarming.

Five kids went to spend a week at the house because of the good price it had. The house is super traditional and very well equipped in every way except a ceramic hob, which in our country, Spain, is something essential and inconceivable that does not exist in a house but with the oven and microwave we were able to make a few meals. That was the only fault of the house in general, in my specific case it was also my height, since measuring 1.86m I kept bumping into everything and it was a little tedious but my friends who are 1.70m didn't have any problems .The owners are nearby and very friendly. The woman speaks English very well for her advanced age and also made a traditional Kyoto cake for us. The hosts were lovely and I would definitely return to the same house if I return to Kyoto on another occasion. Finally, mention two small flaws in the house: it did not have a single knife, so we asked the neighbor (the host), who was happy to give it to us, and the wifi, which only reached the dining room and some of the living room. and main room.

It seems that his home, a Kyoto townhouse built over 100 years ago, has been renovated into an inn.The manager lives next door, and when I asked him about recommended restaurants, he drew me a map and was very kind. The first floor has a living room and a Japanese-style room with futon beds, and there is a garden, toilet, and shower at the back through a narrow dirt floor on the side.On the second floor, which is reached by a hidden staircase, there is a bed and a work space that feels like a hideaway. The facilities were very clean and the tatami smelled nice.Since I was traveling with a baby, I was very grateful for the Japanese-style futon and electric kettle.I was a little worried when I made the reservation because there were no reviews, but it turned out to be a wonderful stay.
