Hotel in traditional style. Located in the center, excellent location, many bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are ascetic, the price seemed overpriced to us. The staff is very responsive and pleasant.

Staying at Ryokan Kohro in Kyoto was a delightful experience for my family of 3 kids and 2 adults. Located in the heart of Kyoto it is just a short walk from the bustling Nishiki Market and the historic Gion district. The location of the ryokan is fantastic. Walking distance to the city and hustle and bustle but located in a quiet traditional part of town. The moment we stepped into Ryokan Kohro, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles. The traditional Japanese decor, with its tatami mats, wooden accents, and minimalist design was spectacular. We were taken to our room which was a traditional Japanese-style room, complete with tatami flooring, sliding shoji doors, and a low wooden table with floor cushions. The futon beds were laid out in the evening by the staff, and we found them to be incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and had all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the public bath, or "onsen," at Ryokan Kohro. The bath area was beautifully designed with natural stone and wood, creating a tranquil environment perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Kyoto. It was spotlessly clean at all times and it is clear the staff take great pride in it.The staff at Ryokan Kohro were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. They provided helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and were always available to assist with any requests. We didnt have a chance to experience the traditional Japanese breakfast or dinner Ryokan Kohro provides but the reviews and pictures look spectacular and we definitely will next time we are in Kyoto.

I stayed here as a lead on a school trip. It's located in the city center, and the students went out to Shinkyogoku in groups at night, which I think was a great experience. The main branch of Inoda Coffee is on the street from this inn, and I have fond memories of drinking coffee there when I later went to Kyoto.

We were advised to stay here by a Kyoto native and it didn't disappoint. It is located in the quiet heart of Kyoto in a quaint area and within walking distance of the subway and the Kuromon market.  …

We stayed with 2kids(3y&6y) for one night. Everyone in my family enjoyed the stay and satisfied with the service!Location is great! Take about 10mins walk and you walk through the Nishiki market from the station. Got coffee shops and shoppings near by. About 10min taxi ride to Kiyomizu-dera temple.Service was amazing for us! Bringing in breakfast and dinner to your room. They even prepared kids meal for both meals! It was very nice of them!We were looking for the traditional ryokan& kaiseki experience in kyoto and it perfectly meets our expectation! I would stay here again in the future.
