In June 2022, my wife and I stayed in a Western-style room. Limited to two groups, a Western-style room and a Japanese-style room, the rooms are spacious and have shiny floors, a large bath and separate toilet, an IH stove and tableware in the kitchen, a washing machine in the room, and a table and chairs on the terrace with a hammock and children's area. There were water toys and even a trampoline in the beautiful grassy garden.If you're driving by car, you'll enter a little from the street, so it's hard to tell at first glance, but is there a blue drum can between the guest house next door? There are two landmarks on the left and right, and there is a parking lot on the right as you enter.You can easily reach the sandy shore by passing through a tunnel of trees. Mornings and evenings are recommended as there are few people and it feels like a private beach, and there is nothing to block the sun.The inn also has paid rentals of snorkel sets and umbrellas.Since there weren't many restaurants nearby, I asked for breakfast and dinner.The wife's elaborate home-cooked meals were very delicious, and the explanation of the menu made me feel that she was particular about it. It was fun to be able to talk with the host in between meals.Nearby is the Tamatorizaki Observation Deck, and if you go north, you can visit the Hirakubo Saki Lighthouse, the Hirakubo Sagaribana colony (only available in July), and Ishigaki Island Sunset Beach, all of which you can visit without rushing. Personally, I recommend the starry sky tour at Shooting Star Hill, which is a 10-minute drive, and the paragliding run by Umakuu.The starry sky tour has you returning home on a dark road in the middle of the night, so it was good that it was nearby. You can also experience horseback riding right next door.There is a minimum stay of 2 nights here, but you can understand the intention by staying there. We had such a relaxing stay that even 2 nights were not enough. I lost track of time while looking at the Mattari garden on the terrace.I was deeply moved by the family from Fukuoka who stayed with us and the very friendly owner and his wife, who saw us off until they were out of sight. Ah~ I didn't want to go home~Thank you very much, we will definitely see you again!

A guesthouse in the northern part of Ishigaki Island run by a lovely couple. Plumeria blooms in the large garden, and the hibiscus hedge is beautiful! …

I experienced slow life on Ishigaki Island for two days. There is a deserted beach 100 meters away from the room. I feel very relaxed and free here, no longer worrying about time or being dominated by trivial matters. The owner of the B&B is very kind and the food is great. After a perfect vacation, I feel energetic enough to go back to Tokyo and work hard.
