Had an amazing time at this new boutique inn in Biei, Hokkaido! The place ist run by a local family who really knows how to take care of there guests. They offer full, personalised services, making sure you feel at home the entire stay. The rooms are a perfect blend of comfort and traditional Japanese style. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area-totally worth it!

It is very nice B&B. The host of this B&B is very nice and very warmful. The meal (breakfast and dinner) and service is fully with Japanese style. It is really recommend you and family to stay here.

Thank you for staying with us for one night during the pre-opening in September 2023 and for two nights in January 2014.The inside of the inn has a clean and warm interior, and since you can reserve one group for yourself, it's as comfortable as if you were visiting your own separate home. Even during the snowy season, we didn't feel cold indoors thanks to the fireplace. (I brought room socks, but it looks like you'll be fine without them)The barrel sauna, which is set up in the garden and is a focal point of the landscape, is wonderful to enjoy while enjoying the outside scenery, such as the night sky in summer or the snow in winter. Although it gets covered in snow in the winter, there is also a hammock space in the garden, so it would be nice to take a nap or read while feeling the breeze.Above all, watching the owner and his wife in the kitchen makes for an exciting meal time. You can enjoy a variety of colorful vegetables and meat from Biei and Hokkaido with fermented seasonings that are gentle on the body. They said that in the winter, they don't have Biei-only ingredients and there are a lot of root vegetables, but you can enjoy the season in your food, and it's delicious, so there's no reason not to order it for an extra fee!The second time I went there, I ordered the venison course. The venison carefully processed by a local hunter was served in various styles such as raw ham, pate, and grilled meat, all of which were delicious.In the morning, you can enjoy a koji-seasoned meal full of vegetables that is pleasing to the eye and energizing to the body.Every time I go, they tell me about new ingredients, koji, and what they're preparing, so I want to come back and eat them when they're ready.What's more, if it's convenient for you, we'll give you information about various things to do during your stay, such as touring the hills of Biei, exploring animals, and snowshoeing in the winter, so you can enjoy Biei that you can't find in tourist brochures. Looks good.It has become a travel destination that I want to visit again and again, looking forward to the food, scenery, and animal encounters that change with the seasons.

In July, a friend invited me to stay there during the pre-opening period.It was my first time in Biei, but I want to go again as soon as I get home! It was a trip that made me think ☺️The reason it was such a wonderful trip was because the couple who own this Kamaitai Inn are very warm people who really gave their best to us ✨We were encouraged by these two kind people, and all of the dishes they prepared using the best ingredients were delicious.Thanks to them for planning leisure activities with us, we were able to make wreaths and meet local people. I was able to experience a variety of things unique to traveling!It was a really fulfilling 2 nights and 3 days, and it's a wonderful inn that I would love to visit again in another season.
