The best stay experience and great memories with my family.I brought my family here this time and it was a great experience from check-in to departure.From parking guidance, to arranging dedicated service in the sofa area when checking in, a welcome drink was also included, and the child was asked about the height (a very cute yukata was provided), and the meal was also asked in detail.There is nothing to say about the guest room. There is a beautiful view of Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji outside the window. The room is a combination of Japanese and Western styles. The living room sofa area is also very large. You can take a bath on the balcony (hot water keeps flowing like a hot spring). There are also There are lounge chairs where you can lie down comfortably and watch the scenery, and of course there are other tables and chairs.The open-air bath offers a full view of Mount Fuji. My child and I soaked in it until we didn't want to get up. It was really comfortable.Dinner and breakfast are both served in the same private room to enjoy Japanese kaiseki cuisine. There is a view of Mount Fuji outside the window. The experience of dining in the private room is really great because you don’t have to worry about taking care of children.The hotel's facilities are even richer. The hotel facilities, service staff, and meals are all great, but I advise everyone not to use Agoda to book rooms. The hotel staff directly informed them that they did not cooperate with Agoda. There were holidays before, but Agoda still allowed travelers to book rooms, which caused great trouble to Ubuya, and The price is 50% more expensive than the official website.

I tried to make a reservation at this hotel through their website, but it showed that the rooms were fully booked, so I couldn’t proceed. I accessed the website right at midnight, when the booking was supposed to start, but it was already fully booked. Therefore, I called the hotel to make a reservation over the phone, but the woman at the reception told me that they do not accept phone reservations from overseas guests and that I should book through the website. She also said that bookings on the website are only possible if there is a last-minute cancellation. Excuse me? How am I supposed to plan my trip with that? Isn’t this discrimination against foreigners? What happened to “Omotenashi”? This is absolutely unacceptable.

A perfect hotel. From the moment I checked in, it was very Japanese style and extremely respectful. Check-in is done at the table. The sudden appearance of the welcome drink is a sense of surprise. The hotel has all kinds of small luxury without losing the tradition. The door staff and dinner ladies all line up to bow and welcome you at the door, which is really scary. By the way, dinner is A5 Wagyu beef👍Since the hotel only starts connecting from Kawaguchiko Station at 3 o'clock, after arriving on the Fuji Return Tour, you have two options:1. Go to have lunch first, then go to the information center at 3 o'clock and ask them to help contact the hotel (you need to call, if you have a Japanese phone number, you can call it yourself)2. Buy a day pass directly at the station and take the bus directly to stop 13 (R line red line)

Disappointing Stay for a Special OccasionWe had high hopes for this stay, marking a special birthday with a two-night splurge at this hard-to-book location. Unfortunately, we left feeling let down, especially in terms of value for money.Rooms:The rooms themselves were spacious, beautifully traditional, and well-appointed. We booked one with a private hot tub, which was a nice touch given that mixed couples cannot visit the onsen together. Sadly, we weren’t able to see Mount Fuji during our stay due to the weather, which would have certainly enhanced the experience.Service:This is where the stay truly fell short. For a 5-star hotel—especially in Japan, where service is typically impeccable—we were surprised at the lack of attention to detail. Our luggage was rolled to the door, but we had to carry it inside ourselves. Despite notifying the hotel of my food allergies well in advance, they weren’t accommodated, and during a meal, a server even placed food back on my plate after it had fallen onto the table. The "free tea time" was underwhelming, offering only pre-made cold tea or machine-made options that felt more suited to a budget motel. To make matters worse, there is no mini bar or room service, and on our second night, we were told there was no dinner option available at all. This left us stranded, as the hotel’s shuttle service stops at 11 a.m., forcing us to walk into town for dinner.Breakfast:While the breakfast was delicious, the limited serving window (7:30–8:30 a.m.) felt too early for a relaxed vacation.Location:The location is fair, and I imagine the views of Mount Fuji would be breathtaking on a clear day. However, with limited things to do within walking distance, the location didn’t feel as convenient as we’d hoped.

I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, so I had very good memories.We used it on a family trip and everyone said they wanted to stay again, so it was worth the choice. thank you.I couldn't see Mt. Our reservation information did not match the computer at the hotel counter, so the counter staff (Ms. Ni) refused to let us check in and asked us to sit nearby and figure it out on our own. She did not ask for help to contact us for confirmation, but she knew that we definitely had a reservation. There was also someone who paid, but she was not given a glass of water in the lobby for more than an hour (other Japanese people who checked in did so). She had questions to ask but was ignored. I originally read the comments and saw their attitude towards people who speak languages other than Japanese. The difference turned out to be true, but except for the front desk staff, the other staff’s services were great.However, the hotel is so high-end that you can't even get more mineral water. There are only two security guards at the counter at night and there are no hotel service staff. When I asked them to get water, I was told that there would be no service at night and no bottled water. I think this The price is probably not reasonable for a hotel at this price. The hotel room facilities are also very old and have not been updated, and the indoor slippers are not disposable.

It was such a unique experience. Relaxing in the hot spring watching the entire Mt Fuji under a clear sky, and having the delicious special breakfast with the Mt Fuji and its reflection in the Lake Kawaguchi right in front of you, you'll forget all your trouble and just enjoy the piece at the moment. The guest rooms were old but very clean and organized. If only more staff could speak English well. Our server for the 2 meals we had was the nicest lady but we both struggled to understand each other. Pictures were taken by me using my camera and phone.

We feel so conflicted about this place. On one hand, the room has an unbeatable view of mt Fuji and Kawaguchiko lake. On the other hand, the service is mediocre at best, which was shocking to us given it is a 5-star hotel and this is Japan where service is top-notch everywhere. The front desk speaks very minimal English, which is fine if they are OK with using translation apps or at least trying to help. Every time we spoke to them, they were terrified, legit terrified. There were 8 of them standing behind the front desk, and all just stared at each other when we requested something. The guy that welcomed us was so terrified that he started shaking when we approached him. We had a room with a hint of sweat odor in our room. When we told them about it, they literally said, "What do you want me to do?!". I mean, it is a 5-star hotel that we paid a lot of money for, and to deal with that kind of attitude is just bizarre. They eventually changed us to another room because my bf insisted, and they were visibly rude to us. The "tea time" was just machine matcha and coffee. In other cheaper hotels, we had actual fresh matcha served, and we were again shocked to see this abysmal offering.The dining experience was so so, they initially put us in a box without any air and view lol. We were staying for 2 nights and asked for the outside seats with Fuji view at least for one night and were initially refused. Thankfully, we were able to talk to a dining staff who was kind and understanding and she managed to move outside on the second day, which by the way was half empty that day, so we don't understand why they didn't do it in the first place when we asked.The dining staff were the only saving grace for the service. They were attentive and made our experience much better, otherwise this would've been 2 stars at best (1 star for the beautiful room and view).

We went during autumn and were lucky enough to view Mount Fuji with clear skies. The service and food was sublime. The rooms had a lovely private bath but with the view, it just made our stay perfect. The onsens phenomenal too. It was very quite and pleasant staying at the base of Mount Fuji when day trippers had left.

Stayed in this hotel just before Covid pandemic. I can’t help but to write down what I feel even after so many years. The driver took us from train station to the hotel was the rudest guy I met in Japan. Shouted at us when I didn’t understand what he said to us when we first get in the bus. My friend replied him our check in name then he shut up and drive. A horrible experience. I will never recommend this hotel to my friends.
