2024.8.14-18 4 nights 5 days camping nightI was able to spend the Obon holidays in peace and away from the heat of the world below. What do you think from my perspective?①It was relatively empty this time as well. The sites are divided, but it is a system where you can freely choose from available sites in the order of arrival. The spaces vary in size, and the larger sites are large enough for two families. You can also specify the site when making a reservation.②This is my third time here, but it felt a little hotter during the day compared to the past two times.Still, it's 1400m above sea level, so it's an order of magnitude cooler than the heat below.16℃~18℃ in the early morning, 25℃~30℃ during the dayIs it about that?③You can take a bath at the center lodge (¥400). About 5 minutes on footHowever, in the evening, many training camp students staying at the center lodge come to take a bath, so it is best to avoid it.The drop-in bath◯Nigorikawa Onsen open-air bath (15km)Recommended, but the road is steep and the open-air bath is good.◯Shiozawa Onsen (13km)Drop-in hot spring at the accommodation facility◯Yamayuri-so (16km)Will it be crowded during the Obon holiday?④There are two toilets and a kitchen area, which are cleaned every day. Is the cleanliness at an average level? Don't forget to turn off the light when using it at night! Insects are coming.⑤It's deep in the mountains, so naturally there are a lot of insects.Insect repellents are a must. Last time I visited, it was probably a tick? I was bitten and the itching remained even after I got home. This time, we will talk about the effectiveness of anti-mite sprays? It was okay.⑥It seems that there were bears in the area during this camp. Police cars were also on patrol to warn people. If you are walking around the area, please be careful. I borrowed a bear bell from Center Lodge.

A little-known spot surrounded by nature with facilities such as camping facilities and a gymnasium. A sky full of stars at night! It seems like saunas are also available depending on the season. Apparently there will be a balloon mooring event in October, so I guess it's a really hot area. Apparently there will be events around the area as well. Since it is not advertised openly, it is unlikely that people will read about it.

I can imagine that it is a great location deep in the forest with a close view of Mt. Ontake, and during the autumn leaves season, so it is better to do some shopping in the city before coming! There aren't many shops unless you walk for about an hour. It's called a secret area.

I stayed there just before the end of the fall season, and the cottages are well spaced so you can park your car next to them. We took a leisurely stroll around the cottage. The cottage has tableware, a refrigerator, and a gas stove, so you can cook. However, there are no supermarkets nearby, so you will need to prepare the ingredients in advance. Center Lodge has a bathhouse that you can use. You can also have three meals prepared for you for an additional fee.
