I greatly enjoyed my stay at Sakura House C. Gianfranco, who managed my stay before arrival and during my time in Kyoto, was incredibly helpful and kind. I found the room to be exactly as advertised and the housemates I had were polite and friendly. I would highly recommend Sakura House to anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay in Kyoto.

I spent a month here and it was an outstanding experience.Gianfranco takes care of the house and the guests as if it wasn't a job but a passion. The house has two large rooms, one is right above the shared kitchen and living room, the other rbedoom is on the other side of the little nner garden. This might be important if you want to make noises with your girlfriend while others cook. 😉Another important thing is that for checkin you need to get here during the day.The bed is awesome, the softest I've had in a hotel. The bus stops for multiple lines are 3 minutes walk from the house. It was a very good experience.

Although we are still in the "query" phase of our relationship with Sakura House, I cannot hold off with my praise for the prompt and ultra-professional communications provided by Sakura House Associate Gianfranco Goni. We have bombarded him with emails and so many questions. Yet he has been continually and amazingly patient and gracious in providing the information we needed. With each exchange, he has gone above and beyond. We do hope Sakura House appreciates what an excellent ambassador he is to their organization.Best regards,Vicki HyattSt. Petersburg, FL USA

It was really nice to be located in Kamigyo-Ku. We felt in love with this area, which is full of nice places to visit, to eat local food and to drink a nice cup of matcha or coffee. The house atmosphere was nice, people were really careful and we enjoyed meeting people from all around the world. Also Gianfranco is a really nice person who was nice to talk. Being a couple in a share house with so many people was a bit difficult because we were used to live with another level of cleanliness. We enjoyed the old style room and the balcony with a little garden view.
