I used it for the first time and stayed for several nights. I was very satisfied with the gentle sulfur springs and the accommodation.●Hot spring (indoor bath)There are two open-air family baths and a large public bath in the building, and the fragrant gray, rich, muddy water had a nice tingling sensation on the skin. There was a notice about the 100% natural hot spring water, sulfur and acid springs, which are said to have lift-up, blemish-fighting, and whitening effects. I was able to take a long bath at around 40 degrees.●Outdoor bath (nearby public bath)If you wear the inn's yukata or hanten, you can use the public bath for free. There are two mixed bathing temple baths, a lukewarm bath and a hot bath, and one middle bath for men and women. For those who like hot baths, the outdoor bath is also recommended. The inn's hot springs are drawn from Nakanoyu. Also, it seems that Mujina no Yu will not be available for a while due to the low temperature.●RoomLocated on a slope, you can see the trees and mountains from your room. The room is a 10 tatami Japanese-style room and a conversation space. Equipment includes an LCD TV, safe, air conditioner, gas heater, and refrigerator with freezer space. Amenities include towels, toothbrushing sets, bath soaps and cotton swabs, and a hair dryer in the public bath. There are no lotions or emulsions available, so it's a good idea to bring your own.I was able to spend my time quietly without worrying about the noise from the next room. Although we stayed for several nights, the staff was very thorough in cleaning the room and changing the sheets, which was refreshing compared to recent hotels.●CookingThere was a lot of volume both in the morning and at night. The main meat dishes are good, but the appetizers and appetizers such as mountain mitsuba, and the dishes using local Nasu Shiobara radish were also good. There are several direct sales shops within a 10-minute walk, so I stuck some Nasushiobara daikon radish in my backpack as a souvenir.●Bath talkIt was fun to talk about hot springs in the large public bath with regular customers who love secret hot springs.

Excellent hot spring-inn. There are public indoor bath and private open air bath. The water is 100% natural hot spring without circulation. The water is slightly cloudy and has sulfur and gunpowder smell. The room is spacious and clean. No smell in the room toilet. The food is very good. The staff is very friendly.

Some people have written about it, but they are unkind. I felt disappointed that the customer was not treated as a customer.I thought it was strange that there were empty rooms even though it was a holiday, but I guess that's what it is.The proprietress, who is the face of the inn, is concerned that this will give a bad image to Shiobara Onsen as a whole.

Last year we traveled to Fukushima and this year to Tochigi. Stay here if you are a member of the Japan Secret Hot Springs Protection Association.I came here on my own request to enter Nasu's cloudy hot springs. The countryside is rich in nature, so living creatures are healthy (bees, gnats, etc.)I am troubled by this. Especially when it comes to iron springs, you can't soak in the hot springs. This time it's a strong acid, so if I pour hot water on it, I wonder if it will go away (lol)When I got to the hotel early and parked in the parking lot, bees and dragonflies attacked me and I couldn't get out. When I looked around outside, I saw a large beehive on the second floor of the house next to my inn. Hey, come on, call TV Tokyo rescue and get it out.I was grateful that I was able to wait in the lobby early, but there were no air conditioners at this time. Even though it's a summer resort, the recent heatwave made me sweat in the lobby (although I was given a fan and barley tea...).The room is an old inn room, but it is clean. The hot springs are cloudy and satisfying, as per the reputation, but the amount of water is a little low, and it doesn't feel like the hot springs are coming out from the bottom, which was explained in the bath (it was mentioned that the hot springs are fresh without coming into contact with the air). Only a trickle is flowing from the top. In the first place, it seems that more than 100L is output per minute, but it may be squeezed out due to the high temperature. There are two outdoor baths, but why is one lukewarm and the other hot?The food is not good or bad, but the staff here are foreigners (there are very few Japanese people at any hot spring resort) and they are kind and polite, which I appreciate.Accommodation costs are lower than nearby Shimofujiya, but the quality is commensurate with that. Also, the sound of Higurashi coming from the bamboo forest in front of the inn in the evening was very atmospheric (the smoking area was outside, so I listened to it leisurely after taking a bath).

This was my second stay at Shiobara Shinyu Onsen, after my previous stay at Shiobara Kogen Hotel. |The acidic water with a pH of 2.6 is the best! …
