I visited with some trepidation as I had heard that the management had changed since it was an old-fashioned campground, but surprisingly it wasn't in disrepair. The administration building on the site is unmanned and you need to visit the hot springs at the foot of the mountain before and after using it, the access route is a mountain road that you cannot separate from, and the sites (except for the auto site) are separated from the parking lot by a slope, which is not typical of modern times, but it is a campsite. This is how it is supposed to be. It's also good that it's easy to make reservations.

If you walk up the slope and into the mountains, you will arrive at the campsite in a few minutes. It's a road that you wouldn't want to enter unless you knew it was there.I didn't have high expectations since the building was old, but I was glad that it was well maintained. The wooden tables outside are a bit dangerous as their legs are shaky due to age.Only one car can be parked halfway up the hill, and you will have to climb some stairs to bring it to the building, so if you have a lot of luggage, it may be difficult to bring it in.Due to the location, it's not bad that there are insects. There were many families visiting the free site, so it may be a hidden popular spot. Maybe for people who want to spend a quiet time.

The reception is located about 10 minutes by car from the campsite. I stopped at the free site, but you can drive to the side of the free site and drop off the side tools. After that, you have to move it to the parking lot. It takes less than 1 minute to drive to the large parking lot. This is a spacious site with grass. Check-in is at 2pm, but I checked in early. The sooner you do it, the easier it will be to find a spot and avoid crowding when unloading tools. There are temporary toilets near the free site and permanent toilets near the parking lot. I think it's best to go to the permanent restroom. The reception staff are very responsive and will make you feel comfortable and have fun from the beginning! The camp facilities are old, but there is a hot spring at the reception area, so we recommend you to go on the same day or the next day!

It's hot in the summer because the altitude is not very high.

Although the facilities are quite old, it is a hidden campsite.

This is a campground where you can catch a large number of stag beetles and beetles because there is a colony of sawtooth oaks nearby. You can see rare creatures such as stick insects and mountain birds. With the recent camping boom, you can collect firewood, which is rare. There are also logs, so I think people who like bushcraft will like this campsite.
