I used the beach site for one night from October 12th.Lake Biwa on a clear day is the best! ️Since it's a free site, we had to compromise on setting up, but we were able to set up with plenty of time to spare. The tent had room for an Utgard model and a 5×5 tarp❗️The lake view was the best, and there were 5 or 6 staff members, all of whom were friendly, kind, and polite. To be honest, there's nothing wrong with it...To put it bluntly, there is only one Western-style toilet for girls, one for multi-purpose use, and only Japanese-style toilets for boys.(Isn't it okay because there aren't Western styles?)There are no baths or showers, and it takes about 20 minutes to take a bath (which I can tolerate).Take all trash home(It would be better if I could throw it away, but I don't care)Regarding this, it depends on the person, so whether it's bad or not depends on each person. It doesn't bother me at all, and the others are even better😍Even though it's a 3-day holiday, you can enjoy a relaxing camping trip with a spectacular view.Definitely a repeat👍It's a shame that I forgot to make a membership card...I will definitely make it next time! ️

It was crowded with many users. The activities that were fun to use were great, but I think it would be better not to leave the parking lot for 5,000 yen (which you can get back if you leave within the usage time), as it is not written on the website. The facility itself was a nice place. It was a lake so it was better than swimming in the sea.

the best camping spot around lake biwako!Very well structured, clean bathrooms, shower for hot baths already included. Place to have a barbecue. And the water is very transparent. There are bungalows for rent if you don't want to camp in tents, there are also several water attractions such as flyboarding, stand up, jet-skiing, etc.

There are various shops that offer experience shopping boards, so you may want to check in advance. The Sappu board itself is fun and makes for a great photo (lol)

If you're letting people take their trash home and taking money from them, please clean and manage the beach properly! ️I injured my foot because I left trash on a bonfire! ️Also, we can't manage the number of day-trippers and overnight guests, so we can't set up tents or tarps. ️

After 30k of cycling I wanted to cool down and swim at the beach, rent a SUP and chill. I was not allowed to go inside. Old grumpy fella with pink staff T-shirt told me it is closed and private. There were many people on the beach. After I saw japanese girls going inside and they were allowed. So it seems tourists - non Japanese are not allow to enter. That is unacceptable, rude and RACIST!

Shirahige Campsite has many activities and can be enjoyed by both children and adults. Perfect for summer. However, since it is adjacent to a national highway, the sound of cars and trucks can be heard even inside the tent at night.
