Usage fee: 2,500 yen (1 car, 1 person)It is mostly used by families and groups, but it is also used by solo travelers, including those on motorcycles. The auto campground is spacious and very easy to use. There are a lot of people using it, but it's spacious so it doesn't bother me. The toilets in each section are flush-type, but the reception toilets are flush-type, so if you don't like the flush-type toilets, you can use that. Showers are also available for a fee.Firewood can be purchased at the reception for 500 yen (1 bundle), but it is possible to collect firewood as there are forests around the area. There are direct sales shops and supermarkets on the way to the campsite after getting off the highway, so you can procure food locally.

I often use it for taking photos, but it's spacious and I can stretch out. It's not too crowded, and you can set up your tent any way you like.

In many ways, it is the best free auto campground in Kyushu. It's so spacious that you can stand apart from other people. Even if there are some annoying customers, it's okay because they are far away. You can check in at 10am and check out at 2pm, so you can have a relaxing stay. There are many repeaters, and many people use wood stoves in winter. The drawbacks are that the restrooms outside the administration building are flush-type, and there are no shops. We usually sell firewood, but there were times when we didn't have any. If you want to climb a mountain, there is a mountain that you can return to within an hour. If you want to climb, please ask at the administration building.

It was a completely free site and it was very spacious and I stayed there with my dog. Even though it was May, it was very cold at night and I forgot to bring my sleeping bag, so I was freezing and couldn't sleep. The next day was sunny ☀️ I had a pleasant time from the morning. It's on top of a mountain so be prepared for the night.
