I used the bath once for the overnight stay and twice for the day trip.It was very nice.I went back today for the purpose of mountain climbing and tried to take a bath. The purpose was Mt. I didn't climb the water tower either. The hot springs were closed during business hours, so I parked my car a little far away, climbed for about 30 minutes, thought it was a bit of a bummer, and gave up on going down the mountain.I'll have another chance next week. I would like to take a bath there. The area next to the visitor center was also full probably because it was a long weekend. On the way home, I bought local specialties such as cabbage and winter melon.

First use on 2024/9/20.Round trip by bus from Sakudaira Station. On the way back, they were selling discount bus tickets, so I bought them.Since it was a day trip bath, I did not take a bath in the open air bath. I liked the sulfur smell, which reminded me of a hot spring. There are two indoor baths and drinking hot spring water, so I put it in a plastic bottle and took it home.I was resting while waiting for the bus. There was free soba tea, which I received. As expected, it was cool at an altitude of 2000m, so I didn't feel like eating soft-serve ice cream. I wanted a nut cake, but it was sold out. There was a stand built outside the window, and squirrels were visiting it.There was a Nepali female employee. All employees were pleasant. I would like to stay there next time.Cash payment only. Free wifi available.

I only used the hot springs for the day. There is hot water and lukewarm water. Those who are lukewarm can stay in forever. You can also drink it.After taking a bath, I took the bus back to Shinjuku, but to kill time while waiting for the bus, they let me use their room and provided me with free tea.You cannot eat meals unless you have made a reservation, but homemade sweets were sold in the lobby.I was very grateful.Valuables are also free of charge. Please note that soap and shampoo cannot be used. All the employees are nice.

I was planning to stay at Lamp Takamine Onsen using my hometown tax, but for some mysterious reason I was unable to stay there.Even though we had indicated that we would be traveling with children when making the reservation, we encountered various problems upon arrival. At first, my child was mistaken for an adult, and I was charged an additional fee even though the return gift said it could accommodate two people. When I checked the amount, I was told that I would need 17,000 yen. When I told them that I couldn't pay that amount, an elderly staff member came out and gave me an incomprehensible reason, saying, ``Because the temperature in the mountains is dropping, my child will have a fever, and we won't be able to call an ambulance.'' We had brought antipyretics and cold medicine with us, but they didn't listen to us at all. This hostel had the worst service. I felt like they were coming up with all kinds of reasons to try to get the money somehow.I will never pay hometown tax to Nagano Prefecture again, and I will tell the people around me to do the same.—Before traveling from Tokyo, I called the hotel and informed them that I would be visiting with my young son. However, upon arrival, the staff began giving various excuses, claiming they hadn't been told about my child and therefore needed to charge extra for him. When I asked about the additional cost, I declined, as it was far too high. Then, another staff member came forward and said that due to the mountainous weather, children are more likely to develop fevers, and ambulances do not come frequently.I explained that I had all the necessary medical supplies with me, but they refused to listen. It became clear that their primary goal was to extract additional money as soon as I arrived at the hotel.I left immediately after realizing this. This is the worst place I’ve ever experienced in Japan. I will never donate to this prefecture again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel to prevent ruining their travel experience.

An inn located at an altitude of 2000 meters. To visit, I used the Azuma Forest Road on the north side in my own car, but due to the recent heavy rains, there were rivers and cracks on the road, so I had a hard time getting through. The road from the south is recommended. This is a quaint inn that is one with nature and is the inn of the Japan Secret Hot Springs Preservation Association. There are set times for bathing in the open-air bath, but we highly recommend taking a bath as the scenery is beautiful. It was the perfect inn to relax and forget about time in the cloudy white hot springs.

I had wanted to go there for a long time, and I was finally able to make my wish come true.Everything about staying at an inn at an altitude of 2000m was extraordinary. The day I stayed, it was a very hot day with a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, but as I went up the mountain road to the inn, the temperature gradually dropped, and when I arrived at the inn, it was a chilly 23 degrees Celsius.Check-in is possible from 13:00, and when we arrived at 14:00, there were already several groups of customers. The host recommended that it would be better to take a bath in the sky as soon as possible as it was getting crowded, so we went to the sky bath first.Taking a bath on a sunny day with a spectacular view was a special experience. After a while in the hot water, I started sweating. After that, I went to the observation bath on the second floor, which has lukewarm water and you can soak in it as long as you like. When I took a bath in the morning, I could see small animals such as squirrels from the window. Both breakfast and dinner had plenty of vegetables, and each and every seasoning was very delicious.Unfortunately, it was raining in the evening, so I wasn't able to do any astronomical observation, but I was able to attend the screening and enjoy the natural environment to my heart's content during my stay. The service from the staff was excellent, and the stay was memorable in every way.I would definitely like to visit you again.
