The day before, I used a breakfast-only plan through a travel website. Although it is a little expensive, it is highly accessible and recommended for sightseeing in Kusatsu.I visited on my bike in the light rain, and they guided me to the place under the eaves in front of the entrance. Since then, the rain has gotten stronger, so I'm really grateful.Other people have mentioned the good things about it, so for me, it was not good.•The comforter is small. I am 180cm tall and my toes stick out.•There is no shaving tool in the amenities. Recommended to bring your own. There are no other complaints regarding the amenities. The fact that there was an extension cord to plug in the USB cable was a big plus. I really wish I had known this in advance.•The interior of the building is simple. It has a calm atmosphere without any flashiness. Also, unlike the appearance, it was made in a Western style.

Location close to the west riverbed and not far from the hot spring fieldsParking is available in front of the inn.As the inn notes, it is made of old-fashioned wood, so it makes a creaking noise when you walk on it. Also, can I hear some noise from the next room? So, I don't think it's suitable for people who are concerned about the noise around them, but it might be especially recommended for people who don't mind it!I couldn't see either the Yubatake or the West River from the room, but I think the inn's selling point is the easy access from the West River to the Yubatake, rather than enjoying the scenery! From arrival to reception, I was treated very politely, and I felt very comfortable.Recently, the number of foreign employees has increased, and the foreign employees here were also very polite. I was very grateful to the male night employees for their flexible responses and suggestions. This was my second time here (the first time was during the coronavirus period), and it was a ryokan that I would like to stay at every year.Breakfast may not be enough for people who are big eaters ꉂ 🤭

Although it is an old inn, it has been renovated and is beautiful. The hot springs are also great! However, there was no elevator, and the stairs were very high, making it difficult for my family with mobility issues to get around. It was fun to explore at night because you could walk to Yubatake. The food was also very delicious and great!

After breakfast in the morning, I saw someone bringing coffee into the room, but I didn’t know where the coffee was? When I was eating, I asked the restaurant staff if they had coffee, but they only answered me: no, I really don’t believe that such service told me it was five stars. The most hateful thing, I don’t know if it’s discrimination. In Taiwan, I booked a room on the Booking website. I paid 52,600 yen for a twin room. When I arrived at the hotel, I found out that I was given a room that wasn’t even a branch room. People came when I opened the window. It is a busy street where people go. In other words, you cannot open the windows. If you open them, you will be ready to act like a monkey. I was fully expecting to have a perfect hot spring vacation, but it was ruined all of a sudden. Later, I couldn't stand it and went to the counter to protest (the money we paid was higher than the Japanese yen quoted on the accommodation website that day). I checked the current price in Japan that day and it was only 39,600. The point is, all the tourists were in the hotel. I don't know why I was placed in the hotel. Rooms not included in branch libraries). The receptionist later changed my room, but told me not to make noise at night (this was a bit discriminatory). The three stars are for the evaluation that later allowed me to change rooms. Otherwise, I should have been given one star. Some people may ask why I was only given three stars after I changed to a good room. Is it my problem that I was given a crappy room for the same money because I didn't pay less? It should have been switched to me.Also, the coffee part really deserves one star. After checking in, I didn’t know where the coffee was? Don't know where the razor is? I don’t know where the comb is? Only when the service staff hand over the shoes immediately when entering and exiting, is this considered a five-star hotel? I gave two stars because of how I feel.If Taiwanese people want to order, I won’t recommend it, but they must ask for it clearly, otherwise they will end up like me.
