Stayed here in August 2020.I was quite worried because there were many reviews saying that the room was old, but I was relieved because it was much cleaner than I expected. I've stayed at an old hotel in Takasaki before, but it was newer than that one. It's true that the facilities are older than in hotels where all the lights turn on when you insert your card, but I didn't feel any inconvenience.The response from the staff was also good.I had a meal plan and had mixed fries for dinner, but it also included miso soup, pickled vegetables, salad, and dessert, so the meal was better than I expected and overall good.

The customer service was good and the food was delicious, but I had a strong feeling that it had been left in an old state. I think it has been cleaned, but the paint is peeling and rusty in places, and the wallpaper and ceiling in the guest room have noticeable age stains, so I wouldn't stay there again unless it was cheap. It's a shame because it looks great. Also, the ventilation fan in the bathtub was clogged with dust.

I was in Japan for a soccer match From Singapore and it was not bad …….The food was normal a little too old for me cuz I normally go to 5 star Hotel with my family but when I have a soccer match this is ideal cheap but not too cheap hotelI wish I could be cleaner and have some more renovation done but it was so so not not worth coming here the second time just for this hotel

The lobby was spacious and luxurious, probably because it was a large hotel that had been around for a long time and also had a wedding hall.The room was small and well appointed, but the building was old and had a musty smell. Maybe it was the air conditioning or the carpet, but it smelled musty, so I put on a mask and went to bed.The walls were dirty, the carpet was peeling off at the edges of the room, and water was coming from the air conditioner? It was damp from something.There are plenty of amenities, so you don't have to bring anything in particular. A bottle of mineral water was also provided free of charge.Anyway, it was a room that I felt like I could just sleep in without meals and sleep at this price.The good thing is that the parking lot is free, and I was heading there from Tokyo after work and checked in around 23:00, but the front desk was open 24 hours a day, and the female staff was very nice. I was kind of relieved when I was greeted so kindly and politely.

I think the hotel looks nice from the outside, and it must have been nice in the past, but compared to first-class hotels, the rooms are the same as they used to be, for example, there were no washlets in the toilets, and after a short stay, I was disappointed.

I should have researched carefully before making a reservation.Even though the price was reasonable, there was no washlet, the TV was very small, it was difficult to use an outlet, and the location was bad and there was nothing within walking distance.

I went to Sakufu.This is a Chinese restaurant in a long-established hotel.Although it is underground, the store is bright and has plenty of light.Whatever I ate was delicious.All you can drink tea and coffee.On the day we went, we also had all-you-can-eat Chinese bao.The service was also good.

It is a magnificent hotel with a stately feel. It seems that various events are held there, and there is plenty of free parking.The room is spacious and even has a sofa, making it a great deal to be able to stay for less than 8,000 yen (no meals), which is cheaper than a business hotel.However, the equipment is old and the door locks may not turn properly. Also, in this day and age, there aren't many electrical outlets, not just around the bed, which makes things like charging your smartphone a little inconvenient.Yukata and other items are self-service and can be brought from the elevator hall.There is a convenience store (7-Eleven Gunma Kencho-mae store) within a 5-minute walk, so it's not inconvenient, but the shortest route at night is a bit dark and narrow, so I feel it's safer to go around from the Route 17 side.
