Once you come in, you will be greated by the vivariums that the owners take care of. The place is decorated with cute little figures and some posters. The place feels nostalgic, and is calming as it is really quiet .Rooms:The rooms were decent, people tend to over- exaggerate when it comes to the quality, but in reality- the rooms were quite big considering how small some traditional Japanese rooms are. They provide you with electric blankets which are very helpful. The atmosphere is calm and you can easily relax.Service:The owners are very kind, they have this small 'restaurant' somewhere in the corner of the building, from there, they will provide you with some foods such as fruits to your room, ensuring that you don't meet other people who stay here. They have a small onsen in the bottom of the building. Its always hot, making it perfect when in need of a break from the cold weather.Location:Yamadaya Ryokan is surrounded by cafes and markets, which can come in handy when in need of a break. In reality, the place is not so bad as people seem to say- people expect a more luxurious room- but they need to appreciate the effort the owners gave.

The low number of reviews does no justice for this authentic traditional Ryokan. While the facade and facilities are old, the kindness and immaculate service offered by the hosts more than make up for it. Tugging along 2 over-exuberant young girls, it's an apt opportunity to educate them not to take things for granted, where warm water, bedding, heating are not always readily accessible. Food-wise, I've been to nicer, newer, modern ryokans but those recollections pale with what just went down my palates... Indeed delicious, flavourful yet healthily balanced. Yamadaya Ryokan, definitely highly recommended!!!

Location is good. Not far from the Moving Walk and most good public baths.||||Language may be a challenge if you do not speak/understand some basic Japanese.||||Breakfast is sometimes average and sometimes good. …

The building looks like an old private house from the Showa era, with narrow passages and stairs, steep slopes, and low ceilings, making it undeniably cramped. However, the house was kept clean, and the inn gave me a nostalgic feeling, like I had come to my grandparents' house in the countryside. Meals are served in your room, so you will rarely run into other guests. The bath has two showers and the bathtub is the perfect size for three adults, so if you're staying in a group, it's best to use them at different times. There are also paid public baths and free public baths within a 5-minute walk, so I think it would be a good idea to use them in combination. By the way, Nozawa Onsen Murasaki's only convenience store is also about a 5-minute walk away.

Although it was before check-in, I was grateful to be able to park there.Although the facility is old, I think it is well kept. The room was large, a Japanese-style room with a retro feel. The bathtub is small, but the water is flowing directly from the source, so the quality of the spring water is good. The food was also delicious.

Due to poor coordination with Rakuten Travel, I was unable to make a reservation. I didn't think it was very good for the price. The bathroom is small, the washing area is cold, and the water is too hot to use. 😭The next day, I stayed at a beautiful hot spring inn in Yudanaka, which was cheaper and had better quality. I apologize for the inconvenience, but as someone who has worked in the service industry, this is the only rating I can give.P.S.: Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort seems to be made up of foreigners, with about 20% being Japanese.

Although the frontage was narrow, it was deep and maze-like. You will be healed by the friendly customer service. The food was a departure from the typical meals at ski hotels where you only need to fill your stomach.Despite being in the mountains, the carpaccio was fresh and very delicious. The indoor bath is for 2 to 3 people, but Nozawa Onsen has plenty of outdoor baths, so this is not a problem. By making full use of the Shinshu discount and Nozawa Onsen discount, I was able to stay at a great deal.

The hot spring water in the bath is of very high quality and perfect for the bath, but it is so hot that the user has to stir it or dilute it with water to adjust the temperature. The atmosphere is homely and the customer service is standard.Parking is available, but it is difficult to find, so it is best to check with the staff upon arrival.Larger cars can also park here, but the road is narrow so please be careful when turning back.
