Izumiya is the largest inn in Homodaira Onsen town, which has the role of a temple town to Takaryu Shrine. There are no organized hot spring towns near Nagaoka, so it is a basic tone, but it is located in a deep mountain environment that can be called an inner-zashiki area.Dinner is mainly prepared with mountain ingredients, but seafood from the Sea of Japan is also served in the form of sashimi, boiled fish, grilled fish, etc.And since it is a Japanese sake kingdom, there is a wide variety of sake available. Of particular note is the local sake bar on the lobby floor, where you can sample small sake breweries and rare brands from local Nagaoka, although there is a charge. The most important thing is the hot springs, but I thought the hot springs at Homohira Onsen would be hot, but they were soft and warm. There are plenty of bathtubs, including private baths and large pool-like baths. It's a large inn even though it's in the mountains, so I don't think it's suitable for people looking for a quiet environment, but I thought it was a special inn for its sake lineup.

As expected, it's a cheap hotel. I think the food is poor, the rooms are noisy, the hallways are smelly, the waiters serve food in a sloppy manner, and everything is half-baked.

The food was luxurious and the hot springs were great.I went to Hoshi no Yu and Tsuki no Yu, but the water quality of the hot springs is different, and the scenery you can see is different, so I would like to come back to check in early and enjoy the hot springs slowly.

The large public bath, where men and women alternate, is a rare hot spring where one of the baths has a milky lotion on it, so your skin will be moisturized after the bath. The quality of the water was very good.

Although the building is showing its age, the rooms are clean and have a stylish modern Japanese design. As previously said, the food is great! It made me realize how delicious seafood is in prefectures that have access to the ocean. No matter what you eat, the ingredients are delicious, so there's no way it will taste bad.As for the bath, the private open-air bath has a perfect atmosphere, cleanliness, hot water, and quality of the spring water, and I'm very satisfied with it.The large bath had a slight chlorine smell from daytime to night in the men's open-air bath and the women's open-air bath on the stone side, but the indoor bath and the cypress open-air bath had no odor and were very nice. All the staff members were very friendly and I didn't feel stressed at all. This is confirmed to be a repeat.
