It's probably the cheapest hotel near Lake Akan, but you don't have to ask too much about quality. There is no water dispenser, only a hot water bottle, so there is no way to drink cold water. The house looks very historic, especially the bathroom, which is similar to the 50-year-old tiles in my grandma's house. XD Some of the shower heads in the bathroom are damaged, and there is only one set of shampoo and shower gel. The biggest drawback is that the room has no air conditioning! It's very hot in summer and a group of people can't stay in the room. I can understand that this place is cold most of the year, so air conditioning is not needed most of the time, but in the summer when it is 30 degrees outside, it is really unbearable. You must open the window when sleeping at night, but the traffic outside is quite noisy. The biggest advantage is that the boss’s service attitude is great! The room and toilet are old but at least they are clean. The boss may be an origami expert, and the whole house is filled with beautiful origami.

I found this hotel after I was stranded due to sudden rain. The price was 4,000 yen for a room without meals, which was contrary to the prices of other hot spring hotels in the area, and I was a little suspicious because of the age of the building, but since I was traveling alone as a man, I thought it was okay. The parents at the hotel were very nice, and the bath was actually a hot spring with shampoo and body soap, and I was told that I could use Wi-Fi, so I couldn't help but say, ``That's the best'' ^_^💦This time, the next day was Sunday, so I wasn't able to eat the breakfast that was said to be delicious in the comments, but I would like to try the rice next time👍There is a Secoma across the street from the hotel, so even if you stay overnight without meals, you won't be able to get enough food 👍

I stayed for one night for 4,500 yen without meals. The facilities are similar to that of a guesthouse, with the plumbing and refrigerator shared, but the hot spring bath was nice to have access to at any time! There are Secoma and Lawson nearby.

Used for climbing Mt. Meakandake. When I checked to see if there was room during the Obon season, I was told that the price for a room without meals was 4,500 yen. After that, I will go directly to the inn, but to avoid any trouble, I would have liked to be notified of the completion of my application by email in advance. (I didn't have any trouble, but I was a little nervous since it was my first time there.)Payment is cash only. I had researched the facilities beforehand, so I had no problems staying there. Cleaning is also done properly. There is a bathroom, but each person must have their own room key (be sure to take good care of it), and there are no lockers for valuables in the changing rooms, so it's a bit difficult for nervous people. I also used the shared refrigerator to store drinks for my climb. (If you want to steal it, it will be stolen, so this is also difficult for nervous people)What I struggled with was the food. Secoma across the street is a short walk away at 9pm, and 7-store closes at 12am. What's more, the selection is poor. For that reason, I would recommend staying overnight with meals included (I wasn't able to get one). Of course, there may be bars of some kind in the hot spring town, but I didn't use them this time.It was a good value for money if you were just staying the night, and it was perfect for climbing Mt. Meakandake. If you were wondering if I would use it again, the answer is yes!
