Is the 4.8 rating on Google Maps, which has a reputation for giving out rather harsh reviews, for real? That's what I thought, but after staying there, I understood. This inn is the best.The interior and guest rooms have been thoroughly and tastefully renovated and are of outstanding quality. The food was also very delicious, especially the quiche that everyone praised, which was amazing. Enjoy all-you-can-drink time from 9pm and have fun chatting with the owner and his wife. This alone is amazing, but with breakfast and dinner included, it's an overwhelming cost performance of less than 15,000 yen for a Saturday night stay! !It's really the best. I can confidently recommend it to everyone. Please stay here when you come to Kita Karuizawa.

The owner and his wife were kind and nice people, but I was disappointed that the ingredients in the quiche that I had hoped for smelled like frozen and tasted really bad. My partner was also disappointed, and I think staying overnight without meals would have been better. The inn has the image of being a boarding house in the home of the owner and his wife, so the cooking probably depends on the skill of the landlady, but if you're going to serve food of this level, there are delicious bakeries and quiches in Karuizawa, so it's best to have delicious food nearby. Isn't it enough to just obtain it and serve it deliciously? He may have been good in the past, but as people grow older, their sense of taste dulls and they stop working hard on their menus and skills, so be careful. I wish they would have made the quiche with fresh highland vegetables and fresh ingredients instead of making a quiche with frozen shrimp and shellfish. The selling point of this pension is the quiche. It may be difficult to manage, but an inn that uses a lot of frozen food doesn't suit our tastes. There aren't many guests, so if you don't get lazy and hone your cooking skills, it will be a good place to stay. Although I wrote a harsh review, I felt that the cuisine needed to be renewed for the survival of the pension.

I want to say out loud that if you are unsure of where to stay in Kita-Karuizawa, you should choose this place 🫠💬I've stayed here multiple times, and it's an inn I'd like to visit again and again. I feel like I want to go home as soon as possible.The rice is delicious, and I eat the quiche every time, feeling bad about it disappearing from my plate.The owner couple are very nice people.I stay here for about 20 nights a year, and this is my favorite 🫠💕

My family and I have been going there once or twice a year for over 20 years. The inside of the pension is stylishly designed and very comfortable. The owner and his wife are very kind, and the food they make is very delicious. The water in the bath is hot and comfortable, and if you go in winter, the first bath is the best! My whole family likes it. This is a pension in Kita Karuizawa that is good no matter what season you visit, summer or winter ^_^

It was a wonderful pension!The owner and his wife were so friendly and it was so much fun! Also, all the food was delicious and I was happy.The interior was elaborate and I enjoyed myself no matter where I looked, and every corner was thoroughly cleaned so I had a comfortable stay!I want to stay here again

I visited you about 3 or 4 years ago.I was impressed by the owner couple's sense of interior design and warm hospitality.I stayed for several nights, and they made sure that I didn't get bored of the meal by saying, ``I tried changing the contents a little.'' They included meat dishes, fish dishes, and appetizers! Anyway, the meal was wonderful.I imitate the way I cut the vegetables in consommé soup at home.I confidently recommend her to friends and business associates.

It is run by a very nice couple.Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and satisfying!Perhaps because there weren't many people staying overnight, we were able to reserve one bath until morning.I went in twice, once at night and in the morning♪It's not an open-air bath, but everything is provided, including makeup remover, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.There’s even aloe lotion on the vanity table!I'll go stay again sometime (^^)

This is a pension run by a lovely couple (^^)First of all, the interior is very cute.And the homemade rice made with lots of highland vegetables is delicious!The bath was old and a little small, but it was very clean and the three of us in the family could use it.Both my husband and I are knowledgeable about music, so my husband, who loves Western music, seemed to enjoy talking with me, and he didn't come back to his room from the dining room until late at night after the meal...I was with a restless 1-year-old, but they treated me warmly by serving me food and playing with me.I had a different time than I did at the hotel.Thank you very much (^^)

I visited there two years ago, and this time again I was treated with kindness by the owner and his wife, and the food was heartfelt and delicious. The interior also shows off the wife's good taste in accessories, and the interior that the couple painstakingly created was wonderful. I'm already old so I may not be able to visit again, but it was a really pleasant place and I highly recommend it. thank you very much.

I used it on a Sunday in November 2020. First of all, I received an email after making the reservation, and I got the impression that the owner was very polite.A very cute and stylish pension from the exterior to the interior.The room was heated when I checked in. There were stoves everywhere in the pension, so I was able to stay warm without getting cold at all.We enjoyed dinner leisurely with a wood-burning stove and live video music in the background.All of the carefully prepared dinners were delicious.There was only one group on that day, so after the meal I was able to chat with the owner and his wife and have a relaxing time.The story of why she started the pension and the story of when she first started it is very impressive.To my surprise, this cute interior design was done by his wife. amazing!All the breakfasts were delicious.It's a pension you'll want to come back to again.

I stayed there twice. The food and the room were good. I thought from the sound of the master's voice that he was practicing Kendo, and I was right. I was told to bring protective gear next time, but I don't have the skills or courage to do so. It's a good inn. It is recommended. If you like Kendo, please talk to us. I'm thinking about whether or not I should go as far as buying coronavirus countermeasures for my bad kendo skills.
