The scenery is amazing, the price is cheap, and the best part is that there is an area where you can park your car 👍

September 2024 motorcycle touring. Tent camping. Since it was a Tuesday after a holiday weekend, I was the only person on the whole site for the first two nights. I set up on Site A overlooking the pond, and not far from the kitchen/bathroom.If it were more crowded, I probably would have chosen another site, perhaps Site G. I walked over to take a look at that site—it's not too far, but there don't appear to be any facilities there. The facilities in general are excellent. The building containing the kitchen and bathroom seemed very new. The power outlets for charging phones/devices are a very nice touch. It's nice that there's space on the second floor of the "Hope Building" (希望館) to hang out. There's a little cafe up there that I didn't go to. There's also a restaurant on the first floor that serves lunch. It's good.Reception was smooth, and staff I interacted with were all pleasant.I was lucky because the place was empty. In general I'm not a fan of these lawn-type sites, because you can see and hear all your neighbors. So keep that in mind.Free, 24-hour shower was great to have.Cons:—Buy your firewood elsewhere if you can, the firewood they sell at the small shop near reception is more like kindling. On the motorcycle, I don't have the luxury of carrying extra stuff. The next day, I drove to a home center to get some proper firewood.—As others have mentioned, this campground is not close to stores. It's at least 20–30 minutes via twisty roads to the nearest shops. Not so much fun in the rain on a motorcycle. They do sell some items near reception, which is better than nothing.Overall, a great place in a beautiful setting. Personally I would probably not go on a weekend or at peak times, but for a quiet weekday stay it was ideal. I shall return.

[Repeat guaranteed! Go early and take your time ◎]This is a mid-September review. The site is a style that allows you to decide where you want to post, such as A to H or a distant ranch site.🏕️Free siteThe area is 10 x 10 meters per group and is first come, first served. There are auto sites where you can park your car alongside, and sites where you are prohibited. This time I visited the A site of the boarding ×.🏔️LocationYou can enjoy the rich, undulating terrain and refreshing highland climate that is unique to the Tsumari area. There was a lake in front of sites A to C, and it was a pleasant campsite. It gets cold in the mornings and evenings, but you can wear short sleeves.Additionally, if you climb the steep slope, you will find elevated sites and ranch sites.🚿EquipmentThere are two clean shower rooms, which campers can use free of charge 24 hours a day. There are insects and spiders in the sanitary area outside, but it is well maintained and clean. You can also use hot water.♨️Surrounding environmentThere are no supermarkets, convenience stores, or gas stations, so we recommend purchasing early near the expressway.Ice, alcohol, and basic ingredients and seasonings are also sold at the campsite. For hot springs, head to Nasteview Yunoyama, which is famous among locals. You can get there in about 30 minutes by car. It is one of the three major medicinal hot springs in Japan, along with Kusatsu and Arima, so please try it.✨Special thanksThis time I was blessed with people. We all kept the lights out at 10pm, and we received some new rice from Minami Uonuma from a camper (farmer?) we talked to on the way! Thank you 😊 I'm grateful for the people I met.

Good and reasonably priced campsiteWi-Fi available, free showerIn particular, Site G is far from the site with toilets, kitchens, showers, etc., but the view is spectacular. If you are solo, I highly recommend the G site.

A campsite with excellent cost performance! Site D had a nice view and we had a quiet camp! You can use the shower as much as you like 24 hours a day, so it was great that you didn't have to take a bath at the hot springs on your way home \(^o^)/There is a hair dryer, but there are no toiletries, so it's best to bring your own! Also, there are no proper supermarkets nearby, so it might be a good idea to be prepared with ingredients, drinks, etc.
