The traces of a sign left in front of the eaves read "Sailors' Hall." Back in 2001, it was either an accessory store or a regular store, but the owner was on maternity leave so it was closed, so I couldn't see inside. The photo was taken on August 13, 2002, and the entrance was closed with plywood.I was curious about what happened after that, so I kept looking at the SV and found a nostalgic building. Although it feels like it has been somewhat over-restored, I am relieved that it has been carefully preserved.My baby at that time was now an adult, so I apologize for this old story.

[Nationally registered tangible cultural property]Hakodate Otemachi House (formerly Asano Cement Hakodate Sales Office)Completed in 1918. It is a two-story wooden building, with tower-like protrusions on both sides of the front, and corner pillars made of concrete blocks. Fan lights will be placed at the front entrance, and a balcony will be created above the arcade. The window eaves and window sills have a linear design. The master carpenter from the ridge plate was Jinzaburo Muraki. Renovation work in 2004 restored the building to its original appearance. (From the Cultural Heritage Online website)

It is a wonderful building with a European style of solidity and elegance. It's a very rare and quiet place in the bay area in the center of Hakodate, where there are no noisy tourists...I was finally able to relax. I would like to visit you again.

Celebrated 100 years since construction in 2018The building is a registered tangible cultural property😵👍Anyway, the space is stylish and you can feel the history.In a space with a relaxing atmosphere,Enjoy an elegant and relaxing tea time👌You can order a cake set 🍰🧁 from 800 yen, soYou should not be afraid to enter the store😆😆😆It is noteworthy thatThe restroom has a luxurious design.Don't forget to enjoy your toilet time🤗

Beautiful old European building, friendly staff and lovely clean bathroom. Chiffon cake, cheesecake and apple pie all excellent and coffee tastes good. Relaxing ambiance.

The day before yesterday, I went with a friend. Cafe au lait is very delicious. The interior is also very stylish. I was most impressed by the toilet.
