The nature commentary session and stargazing session were great. I want to stay there again in a different season.

This national lodging house is located at the highest point in Japan, right next to the Midagahara Wetland. The facility is a little old, but it doesn't feel that way as it is well kept. The toilet is shared, but it has a washlet. Also, the staff is very kind and polite. In the evening, there are fun events that can only be found here, such as volunteer explanations of the wetland and stargazing sessions. The food was at a level that you wouldn't expect to find on a mountain, and the homemade miso soup was also very delicious. This makes accommodation costs affordable even in high season. I would like to stay again next time, but the problem is that it is so popular that it seems difficult to make a reservation...

I stayed for one night on a tour, so this is my evaluation without knowing the price. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. However, the toilets are shared and there are no private bathrooms. The bathhouse is small and you cannot take a bath in the morning. The meals were plentiful, prepared with local ingredients, and delicious. Alcohol was cheap for a mountain resort, 500 ml of Asahi Super Dry was 500 yen.

Single occupancy at the end of June, the scenery is great, there is still a lot of snow that has not completely melted, the weather is pleasant, just wear a windproof jacket, I recommend the observation deck trail next to the hotel, you can see very beautiful scenery. You can reserve the bus for tomorrow at the counter and then go to the bus station to check your ticket.Breakfast and dinner are delicious, and you can order rice balls for the next day.recommend!

The host are super friendly. What is the most special is that you can rent a snow boots for free, anytime when you want! To walk on over thick snow is wonderful experience that you sould not miss. The room and the facilities are well-conditioned, although beddings are quite normal.

Very well located - just across the road from Midagahara bus stop. Simple but clean and comfortable room. Very helpful staff who made us feel at home. Public bath was a big plus after a long day of trekking. Price is reasonable for the facilities and service Highly recommended.
