This accommodation facility just opened in July 2024. Apparently, the owner of Tobira Onsen bought the Honjin family's mansion in the Hofukuji village and renovated it. It's an irresistible facility for those who love old folk houses, and it's also perfect for foreign tourists who want to experience good old Japan. I visited the room that was made to accommodate the lord. The water area has also been thoroughly renovated, so there will be no inconvenience. The view of the Northern Alps from the symbolic chestnut tree in the backyard is spectacular. It is a luxurious facility. If you make a reservation, we can also pick you up from Matsumoto Station. The Western-style building next to the breakfast venue is a cafe-style building that is typical of Matsumoto's Taisho architecture at Kaichi School. The main building is said to be 110 years old and the storehouse 160 years old.

I thought it was an old folk house, but when I learned that it was built as a resting place during the Edo period, I felt the weight of history.It is said that part of it was destroyed in a fire, but it was restored in the Taisho era.The interior has been renovated to take advantage of the building.There was no television or sound equipment, and I felt like I had suddenly traveled back in time from the hustle and bustle of the city.For dinner, drive into the city. Although it is a little far away, it is a building that makes you wonder what era it was in, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing meal while looking out at the garden.Very delicious Japanese food. I could feel the ingenuity of the creator in each piece. It was a memorable dish.I was once again impressed by the deliciousness of the dishes, which were made using dashi stock, and I didn't feel thirsty after eating (due to the strong salty taste), which is common when eating out.The freshly baked toast and fresh lettuce for breakfast were delicious, and it was a trip that satisfied my body, soul, and stomach.

The atmosphere of the store is nice, including the owner, and the food, tea, and sweets are delicious. I feel that the drink prices are a little high.
