Use site 61 in area C.The site is in a forest a little far from the pond, and there are no other campers around, making it a completely private space.Convenience is not bad as it is a 2-3 minute walk to the toilet and kitchen. However, since there are trees growing overhead, you may not be able to see much of the starry sky.You can also catch rainbow trout in the pond using fishing gear rented at the administration building.I caught 5 fish in 1 hour using salmon roe bait.Do the preparation yourself and grill with salt over a bonfire.By the way, you have two choices: buy one for 600 yen or release it. It's a very fun activity. You pack your own firewood, and open fires are allowed on site.Collect fallen leaves and branches from the area and make a bonfire in an enclosure made of large stones. If you ignite it with a metal match, you can feel like bushcraft.

Because it is far from any city, it is a campsite that requires reservations during the holidays. The site around the pond with a view of Mt. Norikura is popular even on weekdays, and reservations are competitive on weekends.Although it is far away, it is a relaxing campsite in a white birch forest that you will come back to again and again.Popular sites are only available on weekdays, but...I go there because I want to meet Tsukune, the signboard cat.The staff are also kind and always helpful. There is also a refrigerator and microwave. The toilets are also clean and equipped with washlets and hand towels. You can fish in the pond and there is a promenade, so you can take as many photos as you want.It is bad manners and unpleasant to take photos of other people's sites without their permission and post them on social media as if they were your own.Let's stop itI wish each camper could have a good time by following the rules of the campsite, not bothering others, and not worrying about being photographed. The summer season (mid-July to mid-September) is crowded and full of people who suffer from the damage described above and have no proper camping manners, so we recommend visiting in early summer when the mornings and evenings are still chilly, or during the fall foliage season. The beautiful autumn leaves site is full even on weekdays.

It will be used several times.I went there for one night on Saturday and Sunday.I'm solo, so I don't really care about the details, but I think it's a good campsite. It depends on the area and site, but it feels natural because it is divided into sections based on trees and topography.(Sometimes the boundaries are difficult to understand.)The site, which faces the main road from the entrance to the administration building, has little difference in height, so I think it will be okay even with a slightly low-height vehicle. In other areas, it might be impossible to get there without a 4WD, and in some areas it might be difficult to get there with an FR.You can also fish in the pond inside the campsite. (charged)Bait, lures, and flies are OK as long as there are no burrs on the needles.Tap water is not drinkable as it is, so you will need to boil it or bring mineral water with you.The employees are also friendly and provide detailed explanations. There were no noisy users, so we were able to spend a quiet time.I think the cost performance is good as the cost is less than 2,000 yen for a solo trip. (For solo)I think the road from the Matsumoto area is relatively easy to drive. (Personal impressions)The road inside the tunnel may be a little rough.

Undisputed 5 starsThe starry sky is truly amazing! Many of the operators and users are nice people, and I have nothing but fond memories. In the past, there were times when the observatory was open, and the guides gave explanations and we enjoyed it.I wonder if they are still doing it.
