Since we were going to Kamikochi mountain climbing the next morning, we only chose the accommodation plan that included dinner. The dinner was very delicious, including an appetizer of fruit vinegar, grilled venison, grilled fish, sashimi and scallops, and unlimited rice. There is also fruit and miso soup after the meal. The hot spring water is a sulfur spring with a temperature of about 42 degrees. The room has a traditional tatami bed. The room is very spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a small living room.Recommended to everyone who comes to Kamikochi. It is a very worthwhile stay. The grandpa and grandma owners of the hotel are very friendly.

It was the beginning of July, before the end of the rainy season, but since it was extremely hot all over the country, I came to the high altitude Norikura Highlands to cool off. The sun is strong, but the air is still cool. There is no air conditioner in the room, but according to the host, the room is not made of steel so it doesn't get hot. However, it seems to be cold in winter. Although the building and equipment are showing their age, they are kept well-maintained and there are no problems. It is a short walk from the bus center and is in a good location for mountain climbing. First of all, the hot springs are the best! For me, it was a cloudy hot spring comparable to Sukayu Onsen in Aomori. The bathtub has hot water at a suitable temperature, and I like wooden baths. This is an old-fashioned Japanese-style inn, with shared toilets, but the furnishings are tasteful. When I asked the proprietress, she told me that most of the items were donated by regular customers. It's a long-established restaurant in Norikura Kogen, so it must have been loved. By the way, in the beginning, it also managed the cold spring hut and the hut near the top, where His Majesty even stayed overnight when he was the crown prince. We had our meals at the restaurant, and the Japanese food was delicious with a wide variety of options. The marinated Shinshu salmon and fried amago are especially delicious. For alcohol, we had the local cold sake Daisetsukei. Since I was going mountain climbing, I ordered breakfast at 7am, but the breakfast at the inn was so delicious that I ended up eating until I was full.I was told that there are a lot of solo male guests these days, but I'm grateful that they let me stay. This is the perfect inn for a quiet stay. Foreign tourists will not come. There is a refrigerator in the room, but no vending machine. There is no convenience store, but alcohol is sold at a nearby souvenir shop. Although you will pay in cash, it is better to have a certain amount of money ready as it is questionable how much change you have.

I stayed here after climbing Norikura in August. The signboard along the road says Hutte Kanayama. It's about a 3 minute walk from the bus terminal.Although the building is old, the rooms are kept clean. There was no air conditioning, but there was a good breeze and it was cool. There is one indoor bath and one outdoor bath. Shampoo and body soap are provided in the washing area. The men's bath also had a shower that you could take while standing. The milky white hot spring is filled with hot spring water, and when you step out of the bath, it feels like your body is coated with hot water. The fried rainbow trout was delicious.

It seems like it's run by a fairly elderly couple, and I think it's hard to clean the inn, but it's kept clean. The baths are elegant, but the food is delicious. You can eat the whole fried rainbow trout, starting from the head. The best fried fish I've ever eaten!I can't feel any bones. The sweet sauce is also delicious ^_^The seasoning of the stew is also very good, and you won't get tired of it even every day❣️Cooked rice is also delicious.I don't usually get second helpings, but it's so delicious that I do.It's a place I want to come to again 🥰

It was an inn where an elderly couple seemed to be trying their best. The facilities were Showa-era, but the hot springs and food were good.In particular, every meal was delicious, and I felt the warmth of the couple's personalities. It is also close to the Norikura Tourist Center and is recommended for those who are going to Norikura Mountain Climb.
