Stayed overnight on 24.9.26-27.Shirahone Onsen is located a short distance up a steep mountain road after turning off from National Route 158.We went further up and arrived. When we arrived, we left our car keys and the hotel staff moved us to the parking lot.I was deeply moved by the hospitality that I felt at a first-class hotel. The room is on the second floor of Bokusuiso. You can see the river and waterfall in front of you. It takes three elevator rides to reach the public bath. Although the directions were carefully displayed, I got lost when returning to my room. On the other hand, it was close to restaurants. For dinner, you can enjoy a variety of seasonal dishes prepared by the head chef using local ingredients. The next day's breakfast is also the famous hot spring porridge, which is gentle on the stomach. I'm happy to be able to eat bread from the buffet. The cloudy white hot springs have just the right temperature for me and I can smell the sulfur. The two open-air baths were also beautiful. The price is reasonable, but I think it's worth it overall, including the hospitality.

2 nights and 3 days from September 14th (Sat) to 16th (Mon), 2024 Showakan Bedroom, daughter (from Sapporo) mother (Fukuoka) Rent a car in Matsumoto, stay at Yumoto Saito Ryokan, hot spring water I think the open-air bath is the best in Japan, it's the best, it suits my body, I took it many times, the food was too hard for my dentures, next time I stay overnight, I'll try soft food or the sukiyaki course. If I could, I'd do it.Anyway, the water is delicious, the air is delicious, the hot springs are the best, the soba is as good as Shinshu, and the Azumino wasabi is delicious.I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was a really fun trip.It would be a shame if I didn't have a car.

August 9th: Stayed at Kaizanso. This is a historic inn, and there is a panel display in the hallway that shows the history of the inn. Of particular note is the hot springs. I was able to find a high-quality hot spring for the first time in a while. The room felt a little old, but it was carefully cleaned and arranged. For the food, we had seasonal dishes. Mainly local fish and vegetables. It's enough for older people like us, but I wonder how it would be for younger people. My wife loves the hot springs and would like to visit again in a different season. Additionally, I did not use the open-air bath in my room as I was satisfied with the large public bath.

This is my second time visiting Shirahone Onsen with two friends in March.Perhaps it depends on the plan, but the room has a basic layout, the view is not great, and the food is a little disappointing (in terms of quantity). But there weren't many customers, so it was quiet.Cloudy hot water is the best. It looks like a hot spring, and even outside you can smell the sulfur. The water won't make you feel cold, and your skin will be smooth. The inside of the facility was like a maze, and by the time I left, I was finally able to return to my room from the bath without getting lost. There was a lot of snow left in the shade, which made driving a bit nerve-wracking.

My first visit to Shirahone Onsen was at Yumoto Saito Ryokan. When I told them that my mother had a bad back, she lent me a wheelchair. All the staff (reception, room information, dining) were very kind and polite. The bath is truly a Shirahone Onsen! It was very good.I wonder if it will be the deepest part of Shirahone Onsen Town? There are more things I would like to write about, but this is an inn I would definitely like to visit again.

This is a historical inn. The facilities, customer service, and food were excellent, and the hot water at Shirahone Onsen was also very good. Although it is located in a mountainous area that is difficult to access, it has a sense of unexplored territory and allows you to think about nature and the people of the past. It was a very good inn.
