I stayed there last week. As everyone said, the food was delicious! !It was a room with a toilet in the new building, but it was clean. There were plenty of outlets in the room, so I used two computers to do some work while charging my phone, and it was very easy to use.The bath was also very nice! ! ! I've been here about 5 times! If you go there thinking it's a ski lodge, you'll be surprised by how wonderful the hot springs are!a! But when I went in first thing in the morning, I was surprised at how hot the open air was. At that time, I talked to other customers who were also there and said, ``It's hot, isn't it?'' That person also gave up and came back just before I got there (although the approach was shallow, about the height of my ankles), so I ended up calling out to him.The staff were also great!I felt that there might be a problem with the winter approach.I go snowboarding every week, so I don't have any problems with snowy roads, but when I came here, I thought some people might be worried about the narrow slope (albeit a short distance) coming in from the main street.Well, this is just my impression from going there in the summer, and I don't know the conditions in the winter, so you might say, "No, no! There's no problem at all!" !I stayed there during the Obon holiday, so gas stations were closed in the evening and at night, so after dinner I called around and went to Kakunodate to get gas.

I used it for the first time on the 4th night of a 6-day road trip from Nagano Prefecture to Tohoku. We chose this hotel because it is located in Tazawako Kogen Onsen, relatively close to Kakunodate, has a large public bath, Japanese-style rooms, and is relatively inexpensive. I visited after seeing the Tatsuko statue at Lake Tazawa. The Tatsuko statue seemed smaller than I expected. It was crowded with many oriental foreigners. Because my car was an old model, the car navigation system was not working, so I had no choice but to call the hotel to find out how to get there. It was in the woods. The building was lodge-style and felt relatively new. The parking lot can accommodate about 3 cars indoors and 7-8 cars outdoors. Change into slippers at the entrance. The Japanese style room was clean. The futon was already laid out. There were no steps from the front lobby to the hallway, the room, the toilet, and the changing room. Meals are eaten at a table in the lobby. There were so many dishes for dinner that I couldn't finish them all. Breakfast was also relatively large and delicious. The indoor bath was large enough to accommodate 7 to 8 people, and the quality of the spring water was good, and the temperature was just right. The open-air bath was large enough for 4 to 5 people and felt warm and warm. You will take off your slippers at the entrance to the changing room and place them in a tall, long, narrow shoe cabinet, so you can tell if someone is taking a bath first by whether or not they are taking a bath. All the staff were nice. I would like to come again if I have a chance. Also, gasoline is cheap in Akita Prefecture. It's high-octane and costs 10 yen per liter, which is cheaper than Nagano Prefecture.

The room had a shared toilet, but the shared tray was clean and it was right next to the room, so I didn't feel any inconvenience.Although the hot springs are old, they are well kept and comfortable to use. The atmosphere is very nice.I wasn't expecting much from the meal since the price was quite modest, but it was quite filling. It was a pretty luxurious lineup, including freshly fried tempura. However, the sashimi and fruit didn't feel that fresh, so I thought it would be fine without them since it's a lodge. The staff were very kind.

Last fall, I stayed in a room with a hot spring as part of a travel grant. The hot springs, the food, the staff, everything was wonderful, making this the best accommodation in Akita for my husband and I. I'm moving out of the prefecture next week, so I visited again. Perhaps because it was a weekday, we were the only guests staying, and even the large public bath was reserved for us. If you open the window, the indoor bath is the same as the open-air bath in the Snowy Forest. It was snowing, and what a beautiful atmosphere... My husband regretted it the next morning, saying he wanted to have a drink while soaking in the hot springs.Apparently it's a sister store to the nearby Tenku, and the owner's proud paintings are displayed inside. It's at the bottom of a steep slope, and we had a 4WD, so it was fine, but if you're worried about snow or ice on the FF, they say they will pick you up from Tazawako Station.I love Lake Tazawa, including its sad history. During the year and a half I lived in Akita, I went to Lake Tazawa 12 times (mostly on day trips) and looked at the lake. Winter has a taste of winter. Water was being released from the Tazawako Power Plant today as well. The water level has risen considerably, and it is now impossible to get down near the Tatsuko statue. Many lakeside shops are closed during the winter, but Kunimasu Miraikan is open even in the winter (closed on Tuesdays).I would like to come back someday, stay at Lodge Iris, and go to Lake Tazawa.
