Stayed here with a friend for two nights. It’s very basic (bring your own towel) but everything you need; a kitchen with a telly and a place to chill on the porch. Rooms and bedding are simple and clean. But, for the price! Cheapest on the island. Ideal launching point for touring by bus or by bike.

A private room for the night without meals on Iriomote Island costs 2,000 yen per night. It is about a 3-minute walk from Ohara Port, and there is also Tamamori Supermarket (07:00-20:30), a restaurant, and a post office nearby. The room is about 6 tatami mats and there is no TV, but there is an air conditioner (100 yen per hour). There are no towels, so please bring your own. The toilets and showers are shared and separated for men and women. There is also a kitchen and a refrigerator, so you can cook your own meals. Of course, there is also a washing machine available for a fee.It is also often used by women. Recommended for those who want to save money on accommodation in a private room rather than a dormitory.

cheap! That is the biggest charm of this inn.2,000 yen per night.I don't know of any cheaper accommodation than here. For some reason, insect collectors often come to stay here.People with back pain may want to be careful with the futon, which feels a bit thin.A coin-operated air conditioner that costs 100 yen an hour is nice in the winter, but in the summer it's hell if you don't turn it on.You can use the communal shower anytime, but please note that the hot water is only available for a limited time.Perhaps the best part of staying at these lodgings is being able to cook and eat in the communal kitchen and chat with the people staying there. Thanks to the female manager, you can sometimes eat pineapples and island bananas for free during the season.

I came from Saitama to stay at Minshuku Yamaneko Sun. The cost of a week's accommodation is equivalent to one night's stay at a normal hotel. How cheap! It's true that you only stay overnight, but it's very easy to stay on Iriomote Island, which is rich in nature. Iriomote Island's natural luxury, isn't it? The owner of this guesthouse Yamaneko is very caring and talkative, and the staff are all friendly. Recommended for all men and women of all ages ❗

The sea was rough and the ferry from Ishigaki Island to Uehara Port was canceled, so I was looking for a place to stay near Ohara Port. …

It is located less than a 5-minute walk from Ohara Port, the gateway to Iriomote Island. It's a room without meals, but the price is cheap! …

It was my third time using it. Even though we only visited once every 1-2 years, the couple at the hostel remembered our faces. About 5 minutes walk from Ohara Port in Iriomote. …
