We stayed here as a couple in our 50s. This is a relaxing inn surrounded by nature in Iriomote. Spending time on the terrace overlooking the sea is better than any built resort. I enjoyed talking with the owner, and all of my grandmother's dishes were delicious. The soki soba was especially delicious ✨

Just relaxing on the balcony is soothing. Occasionally there will be squalls, and in the evening you can see a rainbow over Funauki Bay.

In the Funabuki area, a solitary land island that can only be reached by boat.Probably the only luxury inn.Although the price was high, the rooms were as clean and new as a luxury resort, and were spacious, so I was able to spend a relaxing time there. The owner and his wife of the onjuku are also very kind.I really enjoyed chatting with you during dinner,The local Iriomote cuisine made by the grandmother was absolutely delicious, so I highly recommend making a reservation for a plan that includes dinner. The breakfast bread was also delicious.

The food, the rooms, the view, and the atmosphere are all very good, and it's a quiet and truly wonderful inn.I've stayed at several hotels on Iriomote Island, but this is my personal favorite.Since I participated in a snorkel tour, they picked me up at an inn near Uehara Port, which allowed me to avoid the poor connection between the bus and the ship lol.I stayed in a room next to the restaurant in front of the port, and it was clean and well-maintained, and I could see the port from the deck, and looking at it was relaxing. It's a short walk to Ida Beach. Since it was April, there were not many people and it was almost a private beach. After swimming, we had soki soba noodles and draft beer at the restaurant next door for lunch. it's the best. For dinner, you can choose between local fish dishes and barbecued Ishigaki beef.I had fish dishes for two days, and all the dishes were really delicious. Your husband's story is also interesting. The ceiling is high and the bathtub is spacious so you can relax even in the room.Since the next guest was not there, I was allowed to stay in the room until the time of the ship.Anyway, this is a highly recommended inn.

Living on the island is extraordinary when you go from the metropolitan area, and there is no sound of machinery other than the occasional boat passing by, making it the perfect place for a retreat. The blue sea and sky during the day and the starry sky at night are also wonderful.

I've been to Iriomote Island several times so far, but I haven't had a chance to come to Funauki, but on this trip I finally went to Funauki, and moreover, I was able to rent out a detached house run by Funeya for 1 day. I came to know about Onjuku Okuiriomote, which is exclusive to groups, and wanted to stay there👍I bought some ingredients on Ishigaki Island (meals are basically self-cooked) and transferred by boat, bus, and boat and arrived at Funauki. The inn is very clean and you can enjoy an extraordinary experience where time passes smoothly🙆 Soak in the bathtub while looking out at the Funabuki sea and wash away the stress of everyday life. The inn where you could hear owls hooting at night and red-winged kingfishers in the morning was very nice.By the way, there is no TV (lol)
