At the back of the campsite, there was a ``Shinrin Horse Trail'' (trekking course) where horses ran through the forest (used for equestrian competitions). It can also be used as a walking path. The trekking course also includes observation decks and historical sites, making it a great option for hiking.

I'm here to walk my dog.Since I'm bringing my dog with me, I rarely go to the horse park (because I don't want the horses to bark) and instead take a leisurely walk through the nature-rich Eo Forest.Naturally, free range is prohibited. In rare cases, there are owners who walk their dogs off-leash, thinking, ``It's okay because my dog won't leave me even if I leave him alone.'' However, I want them to follow the rules of the park they are walking in. Horses may also pass by, so if you suddenly run into them and bark, you are putting the other person at risk.Because of that person's actions, there is a non-zero possibility that pets will be banned later on.As of Monday, April 17, 2023, there is some maintenance going on in the back, excavators are working, and trucks are going back and forth many times, so depending on the course you might come across a truck. .We had set some traps in case there were wild boars. It's dangerous, so stay away from the traps.Large trees overhanging the course were cut down to improve visibility. It's more of a trekking course for horses than a walking course for people, so there are obstacles for horses to jump over here and there, and the ground beneath their feet is dirt, so it's fun to spot them. There aren't that many people even on weekends, and on weekdays you can take a private walk (especially since it's closed on Mondays), so it's recommended for people who want to be healed by the greenery of the trees and the chirping of birds. On this day, I could hear the pleasant sound of Japanese warblers crossing the valley. There are accommodations and campgrounds, but I have never used them so I don't know the details (there is a price list in the photo).

The tent site and the parking lot are a little apart. Drive close to the site, unload your luggage, park in the parking lot, and walk down the hill for about 3 minutes to arrive at the site. When transporting your luggage, it's easier to carry your luggage all at once if you have something like a folding trolley!Fires are strictly prohibited at the tent site, but you can enjoy barbecues and bonfires in areas equipped with tables and chairs! There is a charcoal dump, water sink, and toilet nearby.

I thought it was a bonus campsite, but it turned out to be a solid campsite. It's unusual, or rather, it's the first time I've seen it, that the area for pitching a tent and the area for cooking are completely separated. There are wooden chairs and tables in the cooking area, and it's right across the stream so it's not that inconvenient, but it's difficult to use. There was no choice but to return the car to the parking lot, so it was a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the tent site. Was it originally intended to be used for student training?
