Substantial cancellation fee for recent booking. It shouldn't be the ryokan's fault that I didn't confirm the date, but great accommodations shouldn't allow it to be a problem.

To be honest, it was the worst. The room was completely different from the one I had booked, and the instructions for the hotel and rooms were only in English, as they were too aimed at foreigners.Dinner and breakfast were included, but the food service was also terrible. It was especially bad for young women. Please excuse me when I bring the food or when I put it down. It was very unpleasant, as they often brought dessert without a word, or put it down without saying a word.As a hotelier myself, I thought this was an impossible move.I felt that the price was high at around 20,000 yen per person. My precious trip to Kyoto came to a disappointing end.I think it would be better to improve it for the future.

No love. The Ryokan itself has nice rooms with tatami mats and very comfortable futons. …

A super fun experience overall! Food was great, garden and grounds well kept. Good location to stay at if you want to spend some time at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest or Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple!

Such a great peaceful place! We went here on our honeymoon and booked the fully private room complete with your own bathroom, living room, bedroom (with mattresses) and a private garden. We loved it so much! …

The location is a bit far away from the rest of the city but it's still close to a very beautiful temple (Ninna-ji). The traditional japanese breakfast was very good and the Ryokan is well taken care of. …

I don't recommend.Very high price for what this accommodation is.The cleaning is not done properly. When we arrived in our room, we found a cup on the floor. My partner found two cockroaches, one in his futon and the other which was on the closet. Hair too.The sheets were a little stained. At breakfast, a stuffed animal was placed next to my bowl of rice.We didn't feel comfortable and were in a hurry to leave.Positive point: the garden was beautiful and the staff friendly
