It's a place where you can cleanse your soul! There were things made with love everywhere, and it was a place that taught us about the true nature of human beings 🍀The meals were homemade from vegetables, and there were about 16 kinds of homemade pickles, and the miso soup coincidentally included boar meat caught that morning. Every dish was a delight. The method of cooking rice is soft.I visited in the winter, but when I checked in, the room was already heated with a heater, and I felt that they had taken good care of themselves. The person who showed me the room also said, ``Tomorrow morning it will be as cold as 3 degrees, so I recommend that you leave the heating on all night.''He said sincerely, even though he would have to pay for utilities. It was a warm gesture.Since the room was separate, I expected to get cold walking to and from the bathroom in the main building, but the water was warm enough that I didn't worry about it even at 3 degrees Celsius. It is also a nice service that you can reserve the bath for yourself. The staff here are all humble people, so we recommend that you ask them any questions you may have. (Actually, the boar in the miso soup was just served as miso soup, so I wouldn't have been able to get this information if I hadn't asked.)I would definitely stay here again when I come to Aso! Thank you very much🙏

I came here last year, and it's a very relaxing place. The food is all delicious, served on a hearth table, and there are many side dishes, vegetables and rice are homemade, and the desserts are also delicious. Refills of rice are free. The bath was also a natural hot spring and was very nice.

The inn had good reviews, so I visited during the rainy season ☔️ It's an old inn, but the atmosphere was nice ♪There was a family bath that I was able to reserve, but it was only about 4 tatami mats, so it was very small and the limit was for 2 people! There was so much moss and mold that I didn't know if I wanted to go in. The cleaning wasn't perfect, so it wasn't worth making a reservation to go in. The public bath was also extremely small, and the maximum capacity was for 4 people. It was also a shame that the room was not non-smoking 😓 Smoking is OK and there is a large ashtray... It's a shame because the service and food were quite good! Not recommended for those who want to soak in a hot spring slowly😓

Thank you for staying with us during our trip to Aso.The inn is built like an old folk house, and although the rooms are not large, they are relaxing. The bath uses underground water for boiling water, but the water is heated by cold springs, so the water does not get cold even after bathing. Dinner was very delicious with simple flavors such as homemade rice, miso, vegetables, and pickles. Especially the rice is the best. The disappointing thing is the sashimi platter. I don't think I need this. Also, the lava grilled meat is thawed. The rest of the food is fine. It was a comforting meal. Also, the parking lot in front of the inn is narrow. The host will guide you, but please be prepared if you are driving a number 3 car. Overall, it's a good accommodation. I'll visit you again.20240622I stayed here again because I wanted to try the rice, miso, and pickles from my last stay.My impressions of the room and bathroom are the same as last time.Dinner is almost the same as last time, but I wonder if the sashimi platter has changed? Also, the rice is delicious, so I don't need soba. If you have delicious mentaiko from Tomo Rice instead. Breakfast was almost the same as last time. Simple and very delicious food. The hostess and young employees are very interesting when it comes to customer service⭐5. I'll visit you again.

A very thoughtfully run B&B. The proprietress was very nice. Because it was raining heavily when we checked out, she sent a car to pick us up and take us to the station. In addition, if you use Google navigation to go to the B&B, you can only find the lobby from the next road.

Highly recommended. Staff was super kind and accommodating, and speak enough good English. Was there with my wife for two nights. It is a 300 year old samurai home tucked away in a local neighbourhood a short 10min walk from the train station. I guess there were about 10 rooms total. Room was traditional, tatami mats and futons, was spacious and well lit, and included small antechamber with private sink and bathroom. Highlight were the private stone Onsen baths on the premises. Another highlight were the amazing traditional meals, as we had half-board with breakfast and dinner. These are served to you, so not buffet style. It was a lot of food for us Europeans, so you will not be hungry! We spent a full day hiking up Mount Aso, so were happy for warm bathing and good food.
