Hot spring inn. Hot springs, Japanese food, futons on the tatami mats, and waking up to the chirping of birds in the morning. A good ryokan that I don't want to introduce to many people.

I asked for a pick-up from the station. It takes less than 10 minutes from the station.Although the inn was said to be old, it was well-maintained and had a clean feel. The yukata and futon were both good. The baths were also very clean, and I took baths at different temperatures many times without getting bored. The food was elaborate and very delicious.I had a lot of fun with the plan to compare alcoholic beverages.Meals were served in a private room, and there was no chance of meeting other guests other than in the bath.I stayed here once 20 years ago, but it didn't seem like anything had changed. It was very good.

Thank you for staying with me for one night. I don't think the dishes use high-quality ingredients, but they are made with good everyday ingredients and seasoned with exquisite seasoning. Cooking that delights and sometimes surprises the tongue, eyes, nose, and brain. It was wonderful. For dinner, I had maitake mushroom porridge, and the young Nakai-san checked the quantity for me, which was a nice service. I had it a little less. What's more, if I was feeling hungry, I was served a small rice ball as a late-night snack, which I ate later. The seaweed had a nice aroma and the aftertaste of pickled plums was nice. I’m full (lol)The baths are gender-swapping, and there is a luxurious indoor bathtub and an open-air bathtub, and I enjoyed each bath twice twice in total for a total of four times. Many of the floors are made of wood, but the wood grain is so beautiful that I almost slipped. In consideration of this, non-slip mats have been placed along the flow lines. Considering the atmosphere, this appears to be a difficult choice for an inn. We live in a pitiful world where complaints are all the rage, but I believe that if you slip and fall, it is your own fault. (It is natural for customers to be careful about their bodies, and please avoid slipping.)Many of the people staying at the inn are kind, and we are grateful to everyone who has kept this wonderful hot spring open for 400 years. thank you very much.

An inn in OkuchichibuPerfect for a quiet stayIt looked like a hot spring or cold mineral spring, and the alkaline water was heated and poured into the bath. There were two types of hot water in the indoor bath: slightly hot water and warm water.Nice to have an open-air bath tooThe scent of Japanese cypress trees in both the indoor and outdoor baths is soothing.Due to its alkaline nature, the hot water leaves your skin smooth and warm for a while after bathing.Meal volume is neither too large nor too smallI liked the seasoningThe simmered food was cooked to just the right degree and you could tell that the head chef was paying close attention to it.Best of all, it's a mountain, so the best part is that you don't have to force the sashimi to come out. It's also nice that they have local alcoholic beverages. It may have depended on the plan, but check-in is at 2:30 p.m., check-out is at 11:00 a.m., and the baths are open 24 hours a day, until 10 a.m. the next morning, so it was a nice place to go and relax. The men and women in the bathhouse change places at 10pm, so you can enjoy both.

This is an inn run by the Association for the Protection of Japanese Secret Hot Springs. The road going back and forth is narrow.I think you should be fine if you drive carefully.Although the building is old, it is kept very clean. The floor was spotless. The quality of the hot springs is a bit unsatisfactory.I'm disappointed because it's not directly sourced...Don't get your hopes up about the quality of the hot springs...Meals are served in your room. The food was simple and delicious. I think it has a good Okuchichibu feel. The inn feels like you've come to visit your grandma's house in the countryside! The soba restaurant nearby was delicious. I think it's perfect for lunch before going to the hotel. It was crowded with locals. It's a store called Chichibuji.

It is difficult to pass each other on the road leading from the inn to Route 140, and waiting areas are set up in places. It's a group that protects secret hot springs, so it's unique. It was a calm, Japanese-style inn, but it must have been renovated... There are some parts that are difficult to use due to the flow line. The hot water is... nothing special. When I was in my room and opened the window, I could smell the kerosene used for heating. It's not a moor hot spring, right? That's what I thought. The smoking area is outside... it's locked after 10pm... it's a strict accommodation for smokers. The food was delicious and the right amount for someone over 50.One of the reasons I chose this inn is that you can drink Ichiro's malt, there are only a few rooms, and you can relax in the hot springs.

As you drive along the mountain road, you'll find Kaya no Ie at the end of a mountain road that makes you want to realize that there really is an inn up ahead. Surrounded by mountains, time passes slowly in the clear air and silence. When I come here, the oxygen is more concentrated and I feel like I can breathe easier. The good hot springs and skillful cooking will reset your body and mind. I have been staying at Kaya no Ie for many years, but this is an inn where adults can stay.

This is an inn with delicious food. The bath is heated and circulated, but it makes you feel warm, probably because of the Kaya tree ingredients. The room I stayed in this time was close to a private house next door and didn't have a great view, but that may vary depending on the room. Futons are spread out from check-in to check-out, so you can just lounge around. It was a cold day, so I was happy to have a kotatsu. There's no WiFi either, so I think it's a good idea to bring a book for a digital detox.

Forget the hustle and bustle and enjoy the sounds of warblers and cicadas without watching TV. Ichiro's malt mixed with water is recommended.
