Moose Family Camp was the perfect getaway from the busy city life in Tokyo. The owner of the place was very friendly and made sure everyone had FUN!The kids couldn't stop talking about how fun the place was after we left. They got to play basketball, bike and swim all day. And explore nature, like walking the goat, see snakes and feed the bunnies. High recommended for families.

An awesome place to escape the city!Lots to do and see as you are surrounded by nature and they have several animals like bunnies and ducks. It is very relaxing and I did not have to worry about my young child exploring because it's so kid friendly! Also plenty to do for the grown ups- hot tub/onsen/swimming, basketball hoop, etc. The owners of the property are very nice and have everything you could possibly need! I was very impressed with their store on site, as we forgot some items like dish soap, sponge, etc and they had it.We can't wait to return for our yearly camp out. 100% reccomend and would return.

Outstanding family friendly campsite, where the greatest thing by far is how unbelievably welcoming and energising (for kids and parents) the owners are (more later).Kids' appraisal: We (two adult and three children) booked a last minute reservation for two nights in our small RV, and ended up staying for seven! At the end of the month long trip to Japan all the kids said that Moose Family Camp was the best part of the whole holiday - they were gutted to have to leave!Facilities: the campsite has all the necessary facilities you would expect (electricity, drinking water at the pitch, free toilets, free WiFi) but also more (plenty of shade to keep the RV cooler than an exposed site, a fantastic bath/onsen that can be reserved for the family to use it alone). The whole campsite is also set up as child friendly, well away from any roads or traffic, with bikes, scooters, basketball, and a fantastic pool, capable of about four families in there at a time. We were very lucky to have it to ourselves quite a lot and the kids loved it, using kayaks also provided by the hosts.Location: about a 20 minute drive away from a host of beautiful sites, shops, and restaurants. Serviced by plenty of small convenience stores, with a big supermarket and DIY shop about 25 minutes away. You feel really out in the sticks (in a good way) while at the campsite, surrounded by rice fields. Peace and quiet! The X Factor is the hosts: Ervin and Rika were simply superb in their approach. From the moment we arrived after a tiring drive to the moment we left, we were made to feel part of the family (our hosts even said that is why it is called Moose Family) and both of the hosts were fantastic with the children, setting up activities like the udon water slide, making smores with a campfire, and magic tricks. They were also fantastic with my wife and I, giving us great advice for day trips in the local area.If we can make the journey back to Japan again we will not hesitate to come back, probably to stay in one of the excellent lodges built by Ervin. Hats off to you for such a calming, de-stressing, and deeply entertaining stay!Thank you.

I visited for the first time with my family at the end of July."A place to enjoy staying and interacting in an American atmosphere."I think it's a little different if the purpose is to go camping.First of all, I think it's a good idea to take proper insect repellent and insect protection when staying overnight. I get bitten by a gnat.If you tell the owner, they will lend you medicine, so if you notice that you have been bitten, it is a good idea to go see a doctor.【atmosphere】There are many repeat customers, and the owners are American (although they have lived in Japan for quite some time), so the atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful. It's not a typical high-standard campground, so I think there's a gap if you're looking for one.For those who enjoy their stay freely and don't have to worry about having conversations with the people around them, this is a place where you can enjoy your stay without worrying too much. They say the only rule is to have fun, and that's true.As long as you follow your manners and respect each other, I think you will be able to spend your time freely.【facility】①The highlight of the summer is definitely the American pool.Walk-ins are welcome, and my two sons, who are in the lower grades of elementary school, had a lot of fun. Outside of summer, it seems that you can enjoy fishing by turning it into a pond.②There is also a bath that can be reserved by the hour, and amenities are provided.③Also, the shop has imported sweets, meals, and hygiene products, and it's fun just looking at them.④The toilets are also well maintained. (It's not that the toilets are so clean that you wouldn't expect them to be in a campsite, but they are clean enough to be used as a campsite.)⑤There is a wide range of play equipment that children up to elementary school age can enjoy.[Tent night perspective]There is a grassy area for tents, but since there are many slopes, there are limited places to set up tents. The pegs go in easily, so you don't need much force. Please do not light a bonfire on the grass, but on the bricks.【Nature】It is rich in nature and there are many frogs and cicadas. It seems that the gnats mentioned at the beginning are also found in areas with clean water, so there is no doubt that nature is abundant (let's take precautions). You can also see fireflies around June. There seems to be a tree where flying squirrels migrate, and they move from a specific location at a specific time every night. There are also rabbits, ducks, and dogs kept by the owner, all of whom are friendly, so it's fun for kids.Anyway, the facility is operated with consideration to how to enjoy it.Another great thing is that the owner himself seems to be having the most fun. (I never thought I would be talking with the operator while in the pool.)They are thinking a lot about how to improve the facilities, so it seems like they can discover something new every time they come, so it's no wonder they have so many repeat visitors.
