This spring, my third-year-old daughter visited Norikura Onsen on a school trip, and this time I went to Norikura with my family before Obon. For my father who loves hot springs, the sulfur smell and cloudy water was the best, saying, "This is a hot spring!" But today's junior high school students say it's disgusting and dirty... Sad 😭It is true that the bathroom, which is exposed to hot spring water all day long, cannot be described as clean, but it has the atmosphere of a spa and is very elegant. There is also an open-air bath, and the water temperature in the indoor bath was a little hot, but the outdoor bath was just right. The guest rooms are Japanese-style rooms of a typical Japanese inn, with shared toilets and washrooms, but I like it. I don't recommend it to anyone who compares it to hotel rooms. By the way, this time I was bringing my elderly mother with me, who has bad legs, so I requested a room with few stairs in advance, and she was able to use the large Japanese-style room on the 1st floor, which was very helpful as the bathroom and dining room were both on the same 1st floor. . Regular guest rooms are on the 2nd floor. Both dinner and breakfast were plentiful and the horse sashimi for dinner was delicious. The old man who seemed to be the owner was friendly and nice, but the other employees may be part-time workers, but it was disappointing that they didn't say hello even when they passed each other (1 point deducted for service). It's a little hidden away, so it's a hidden inn. I guess it's for older people. I would like to go again.

Difference from the same Norikura Onsen Misuzuso.(Misuzusou) Lively(Shirogane) Shizuka(Rice) Misuzuso is better(wifi) Shirogane fits well(Bath) I feel that the sulfur content is higher in Shirogane.(Futon) Shirogane will lay it out for you, but Misuzuso will lay it out for you.For those who want to stay moist, we recommend Shirogane.

The hot water was the most cloudy white water I've ever had, and the temperature was just right, so I was able to relax. This bath has a stronger sulfur smell and cloudiness than Manza Onsen.I was also very satisfied with the meal. I will use it again.

I stayed there in July.Feels like home. The room feels like a pension. After all, it's a bath! ️The cloudy white water was the best. There are no amenities, so it's better to bring your own! ️Only shampoo and body soap available...Shared washroom and toilet. The dryer is a bit old...The food was delicious. The white rice is so delicious! ️!! ️The best!! ️The side dishes were also delicious. The deliciousness of white rice!! ️!! ️Bath and white rice!! ️!! ️It was the best! ️!! ️

It's hard to say that everything was completely satisfying, but I can recommend the variety of dinner options. It's a bit like a mountain hut🛖, and although it's far from sturdy, you can get away with it by ignoring the sound leaking from the floor below, the sound of rain from the roof, the patchwork on the walls, and the rust in the bathroom. You can escape from the hot and humid world of summer and immerse yourself in the spirits of wood and water, so I don't think you'll be disappointed.Showers cannot be used in the bathroom from 10pm to 6am, so showers are available at other times. It's a little far from the tourist information center parking lot, so I think it's more convenient if you have a car.Because it is located on a plateau at 1,600 meters, it can get cold in the mornings and evenings even in the summer.
