Chidori Ryokan

The founder was said to have been repatriated from Manchuria after the war. On the wall next to the entrance, there was an old water bottle on display that I had brought with my three children. It seems like it was recently renovated, but I'm glad that it blends in well with my previous home.

The accommodation is close to the best.I was a little concerned about the late timing of dinner service.

My husband and I canceled a road trip for some reason, and instead chose Chidori Ryokan (main branch) as our accommodation for a motorcycle touring we had planned just three days before. This is because I have always wanted to go to Yashiro Island (Suo Oshima) and it is the only inn that was found on the island by Jalan. Initially, we had planned to check in at 7pm, but we arrived early.A Japanese-style room of about 10 tatami mats, which is too large for a solo traveler. In front of the room is a front room with a lattice door, which serves as a closet. I heard that it had been renovated, and I was impressed by its stylish structure.Futons are already laid out, and there is also a safe and extra jinbei in different sizes. Guests are also provided with a stylish amenity bag that they can take home, giving them a sense of hospitality.What is noteworthy is that this Japanese-style room has one door, and when you open it, you will see a small changing room and then a large, state-of-the-art unit bath and toilet. Guests are told that they can take a bath for free at Ryuzaki Onsen, which is a few minutes away by car, and the facilities are so wonderful that you might think that the latest baths are sufficient.Dinner time started at 6:15 pm, but there were no other customers besides me, so I was seated at a counter seat for four people, and had the entire place to myself. There is a wall right behind you, so you won't be sharing the space with other group guests. Even without the coronavirus pandemic, this kind of consideration is comforting.When it comes to dinners where seafood is the main ingredient, I'm spoiled for choice in both quality and quantity. Starting with sashimi, then shabu-shabu of swordfish and sea bream. I was told that it only needs to be marinated for a few seconds, and it's absolutely delicious. The mushroom and clam pie wraps are carefully made. Rockfish with ankake sauce can be eaten whole, including the head. It was a little hard, but I got it all. The crepe at the end is not too sweet. I had a fun conversation with the chef, and in addition to the draft beer, I had ROOM sake from Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, which was both sweet and delicious. I had a luxurious time.I was tired and drunk and went to bed around 8pm, but the next morning's walk was pleasant and I had breakfast at a table, which I ate completely.Jalan points were not deducted at the time of checkout, so I checked and had them deducted. Also, I couldn't find a Wi-Fi spot, but it seems like there was one as well. These two points were a bit of a concern, but even taking these into consideration, the inn was highly rated.

A small inn surrounded by nature. I envy the environment where you can go straight to the sea with a fishing rod in hand. The food was also very delicious.

Even if you go before your reservation time, there will be no one there. It is better to call ahead of time before going.I recommend you to kill time at Ryuzaki Onsen and then go to a ryokan. There is no bath or toilet in the room.It's joint. The toilet has been renovated very nicely and is comfortable.Of course, the rooms have also been beautifully renovated.However, the building seems to have a history and is cold. The heating didn't turn off.I don't use 🛀 so I don't know.🌃🍴 is the best. Everything is handmade and elaborate.I thought Kagami-mori was more delicious than Fugu. There's tempura and okoze, and the meat is thick and fluffy and delicious ❤ The other dishes are definitely delicious ❤At the end, the sea bream chazuke is served.There's a lot of food and I want to eat it, but I can't fit it in.I had the dessert pudding as a late night snack. This one was not too sweet and had a gentle taste.It was delicious.Breakfast was also as expected.

Friday night is reserved due to Corona. Dinner at the horigotatsu on the 1st floor. I ordered an additional order of grilled cutlassfish, and it was delicious with large flowers blooming all over the platter.

I took care of my family on New Year's Eve. There are plenty of dishes. The Ochazuke served with dashi soup was delicious. I also had Toshikoshi Soba. On New Year's Day, we also received zoni.

It's old-fashioned, so I guess it's not suitable for young people.

I was satisfied with the food, room, and price.This is my third time, and I would like to come back again.

There was a parking lot and the food was very delicious.
