I used it for about 2 weeks and had a lot of fun. Even though I'm back home, I already feel like going back. It was an inn that made me feel that way.

I came to stay with Tez & Mami solo and was treated with overwhelming hospitality and warmth. It felt like staying with friends. Where possible, they went out of their way to make my stay in Morioka even lovelier - a lift to the station in the morning, brewing delicious drip coffee in the morning with jazz in the background. While the lodge is not located in the heart of the city, Tez & Mami offered me their bike. That makes up for the location. There are tons of buses that come by their place too. Otherwise, walking to the areas rife with cafes & izakayas takes about 10-15 minutes.Tez & Mami enjoy meeting people from all over the world - more than most people would. I can tell this much from talking to them over breakfasts & our spontaneous conversations over our travels.I’m glad I somehow stumbled upon their quiet listing on gmaps, because it’s so much homelier than a stay at a hotel. They’re both cool people too.I hope more people see this and pick their listing!

I used Kakishibu's room. The owner couple (including Rokubon-kun) warmly welcomed us, and although it was raining unfortunately, we were able to spend a relaxing time. The bread and coffee we received at breakfast were also excellent! We had a lot of fun talking and learning about local information while having breakfast.I will definitely use it again when I stay in Morioka :)

I used the Sumikuro room the other day.The compact room felt like a secret base and was very relaxing. In addition to bedding, there is also a small desk and light, so you can read. The owner and his wife welcomed us very warmly and it was an unforgettable stay. The steamed bread and coffee we had for breakfast were exquisite!Above all, the signboard dog Bon-chan is so cute! I felt healed throughout my stay.I would like to use your hotel again when I come to Morioka. thank you very much.

This is a wonderful little house hosted by a very warm and welcoming couple and their dog, Rokubonta. It is a great place to stay in Morioka if you appreciate being located in a calm area close to the river.

I stayed there for my first pop-up and as usual sightseeing in Morioka.Every corner of the inn was kept clean, yet both of us were calm and had a comfortable stay from start to finish.I will no longer have the option of staying at a business hotel in the future.I rented a bicycle and went to work at the exhibition hall. When we got home, we all talked together, including Bon-chan.Relax in a spacious and very clean bath.In the morning, each guest found something delicious, tomato juice prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Sakamoto, coffee that was much better than at a coffee shop, and bread soaked in a bamboo steamer.Time passed naturally, as if I had lived here forever. While massaging Bon-chan, I felt refreshed from my daily worries ^ ^I'll see you again soon.thank you very much.

During the Sansa Festival, I stayed here with my husband and a medium to large dog.The room was clean, with a friendly couple and a homely atmosphere. There were other people staying there, but even with their dog, they didn't get any bad looks and it was comfortable. It's near the river, so it's perfect for walking the dog. Also, I would like to use it when I go nearby.

I stayed here for the first time the other day.I was always soothed by the wonderful personality and kindness of Mr. and Mrs. Sakamoto and the cuteness of Rokubon-kun, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time there!Thank you very much for answering so many questions carefully and for responding kindly to this sudden request!I stayed in a room in Kakishibu, and the glass patterns and furniture were wonderful. The bed was so comfortable that I ended up oversleeping. Also, the bread they prepared the next morning was really delicious, and I was able to start my day happily🍞I would like to stay at Kawano Soba again, so I would like to make plans to go to Morioka. We hope to see you again then!

In our 8 week trip through the whole of Japan, Kawanosoba was a highlight. It felt very special to stay with a very lovely family in a great town. Tetsuya San and Mami San were perfect hosts. We felt very welcome and comfortable in their beautifully renovated home. They gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do around the town, including booking us into an excellent restaurant. Rokubonta is just the best dog in the world too, he even came and joined my on my futon <3. We left wishing we had booked for longer as there was much more to see, shop, eat and do in the town and we had a perfect base.Thank you, Mami san and Tetsuya san, we really hope we can join you again one day.
