Free of charge, no reservation required(Documents must be filled out at reception)Prefectural campgroundThere is a kitchen, a toilet (complete with toilet paper), and you can throw away your trash. What a campsite.Spending time in the white birch forest while looking out at the lakeside was so wonderful that I don't want to tell anyone about it.This is the best campsite in Iwate, ranking 1.2.

This time we used the picnic area. I'm thankful that it's free even though it's such a spacious and quiet place. In the morning, I could hear the sounds of animals and it was a refreshing morning.I had Gyōja garlic at the time, so I used it for cooking, and the skunk cabbage was also blooming beautifully.By the way, if the temperature is expected to be in the single digits in Morioka City, there is a possibility of frost here. You can make a bonfire, and there are pine cones and twigs, so you won't have any trouble starting a fire.

Used on 5/1/2023.Please note that there is a gravel road after turning at the campsite sign and driving a little further.First, check in at the administration building,The old lady at the reception desk apologized for raising the price of firewood and told me that it was not going to happen. If you use the power source at the auto site, there will be a small charge. Since the firewood is hardwood, it is hard and lasts a long time. The weather on this day was strangely beautiful, with sunshine and rain alternating, and at night it was raining even though the moon was out.May 1st was a weekday, so it was empty, and while I was setting up the tent, I heard the sounds of woodpeckers, the voices of birds of prey, small birds on the side of the tent I was walking on, owls hooting at night, and the next morning I heard small birds at the entrance of the tent. It was a paradise for wild birds as they entered and bumped into each other. I wonder if it's because it's the end of the winter break or what.I didn't have enough space to load it so I gave up, but it seemed like Gyōja garlic could be harvested, so I should have stopped at the two local farms that had them, and I should have bought Yabu Soba's quince, so I'll come back next time.Later,When I raised the toilet lever, it wouldn't come down, and there was a sign asking me to push it back. A lot of people didn't notice the sign, and I got so concerned that every time I went to the bathroom, I pulled down the lever and turned it around, and ended up making an announcement to people I passed.Apparently, it is a cold region specification where the lever cannot be lowered unless you press the button next to the lever. I explained it to the administration building on the way home, but the only person there was an old man, not the old lady from yesterday, and he didn't really understand the hardships I was going through. It's a good memory now.Is nature untouched? The scenery is amazing, and my friend who has been to Finland said that it feels like Finland! I was impressed.
